Just observe for now.

After a bit of time, Bell decided he would just observe the group for the time being. "By the way Aizu!" one of her companions boisterously piped up in the middle of their conversation, a beast like fellow with grey hair, wolf ears and a wolf tail. "Why don't you talk about what happened the other day!"

"What do you mean Bate?" Aizu asked, quirking an eyebrow.

"You know what I'm talking about! The few minotaurs that managed to get away from us for a bit! Didn't you kill the last one in front of some wet behind the ears idiot on the fifth floor down? What an idiot! Tomato guy should stick to his lane!" the apparently named Bate cackled.

'Oh great, that asshole's talking about me...' Bell mentally groaned, going a bit red from a mixture of embarrassment, and anger at being made fun of... Which ironically, made him look like a tomato. Good thing they weren't looking his way. What was worse... The guy wasn't exactly wrong...

"You mean the minotaurs that attacked us on the 17th floor, before a few of them fled after we kicked their asses?" one of them asked.

"Yeah, and then Aizu and I chased them down, and guess who the last one ran into?" Bate laughed. "Some weak little rookie! I almost laughed my ass off! He was cornered like a scared little rabbit, and trembling! Then Aizu slashed the minotaur at the last second, and covered the idiot in its blood... But it was impossible to tell what parts of him WEREN'T covered, because he turned red like a tomato! It was a riot! Then he screamed and ran away! He probably thought you were another monster with how scary you were Aizu!" Bate cackled. "How hilarious is that!?"

'...is that what that idiot thinks?' Bell wondered. He was giving serious thought to doing something, going up to this guy and picking a fight... But realistically, he knew he'd get his ass kicked.

"That's enough Bate," one of the group, an elven woman said. "You shouldn't make fun of an adventurer who deserves our apologies. It was our fault that minotaur was even around him."

"Pffht, whatever, he shouldn't have become an adventurer to begin with, if he couldn't handle that much!"

"Haven't you heard of a concept known as,"being a beginner?"" Aizu deadpanned. "I seem to recall a few embarrassing incidents from your own starter days..."
