Toads are acting up again.

"You dragged us out into the cold for this!?" Kazuma demanded of Sena as he watched Aqua running from the toads, crying about how sick she was of them eating her. Cremea and Fio were actively fighting them, while Xylixia was offering support via paralysis and sleep magic. Megumin... Was currently in a toad's mouth, having already used an Explosion. Cremea and Fio had changed out of their harem outfits before they let Sena in.

"Your Explosion mage was responsible for spooking them and causing them to wreak havoc on the roads, and don't think I don't know why she let one off two days in a row while you were in jail!" Sena replied. "They were hibernating until they were set off! I'm actually doing you a favor by giving you a chance to clean this mess up before it makes you look worse!"

"Fine, I get it..." Kazuma sighed, before casting Freeze on the mucous covering one of them as it lunged for the two, causing it to freeze in place, and giving Kazuma an opening to stab it. "Megumin, you need help with that?" Kazuma shouted up at the midget of a mage.

"Nah, I'm good... It's gross, but warm in here..." she replied. "Besides, Aqua needs your help first..."

"Kazuuuummmaaaaa!" Aqua cried, being chased by ten at once, and running for him and Sena.

"Hey, don't bring that many over here at once!" Kazuma protested in panic. "I'm already dealing with a few around us!"

"Bad timing, but I think I could actually use some help..." Megumin noted, the toad that had her about to swallow her.

"Is this how your party always fights!?" Sena demanded.

Kazuma was too busy freaking out at the fact that he and Sena were seriously outnumbered, and that the other three had gotten too far away to help them, to answer. "Light of Saber!" a voice shouted, before a blade made of light decapitated the toad about to eat Megumin, freeing her before she was eaten. "Energy Ignition!"

The remaining toads spontaneously combusted. "...what the!?" Kazuma demanded.

"That was advanced magic... Who could have done that?" Sena asked.

Megumin laid on the ground and looked up, before her expression changed to one of vague recognition. "Oh..." Kazuma and Sena followed her gaze to see a female mage standing before them.
