Getting thrown under the bus!

"You're making a mistake!" Darkness shouted at Sena.

"Yeah! Kazuma might have had the coronanite transported, but it was to save the town!" Megumin piped up.

"Yeah, he's a hero!" most of the adventurers in the hall agreed.

"You guys," Kazuma said, legitimately touched.

Sena pushed up her glasses, and stated, "I should warn you all... The charge of sedition can apply to coconspirators as well... So I suggest you choose your next words carefully."

Silence. "...eh?" Kazuma asked.

"I mean... I might have been able to stop Kazuma had I been present," Megumin changed tunes on a dime. "But I didn't board the Destroyer, so I could do nothing."

"Why you little-!" Kazuma growled.

"I seem to recall you saying Kazuma..." Aqua chimed in. ""I'll take full responsibility! I've got luck to spare!""

'Oh NOW she wants to do the smart thing!?' Kazuma mentally raged.

"Wait, I'm the one you want! If you want someone to be a prisoner, take-!" Darkness decided to say, the only one still even trying to defend Kazuma... Even if it was partly to satisfy her masochism.

However, she was cut off by Sena, "I hear you were no help during the battle."

Darkness slumped and Kazuma stormed up to her, angrily shaking her. "You sure aren't!" However, this was an act: he had employed a bit of sleight of hand, and managed to pull out the Sex Note when no one was looking, and slipped it into Darkness's armor while he put on the show of shaking her. He knew he couldn't afford for that to be found on him.

As he was pulled off of Darkness by the guards, all of the other adventurers piped up about things he had supposedly done. Such as trying to feed Aqua to alligators... Ignoring the fact that it was part of a quest. Then there was the whole panty theft thing... Which was randomized by Steal, more or less, so hardly his fault, even if he didn't hate the result.

The guards dragged Kazuma off, and he cursed all of them for being fair weather friends, and Wiz looked about to say something, but Aqua covered her mouth, though looking torn. She was probably about to take some responsibility, as Aqua told Wiz, "Let's just wait for Kazuma to serve his sentence..."

"I haven't even been convicted yet!" Kazuma roared.
