Baiting the trap

After the photoshoot, it was difficult to keep for DCM MJ and Kori to keep their hands off of their visitor, but they had work to do; Kori & MJ informed their friends (and lovers) of the plan, and anyone who was available eagerly volunteered to help, and the Green Lanterns, in the midst of their own investigation into the Red Lantern Mary Jane, agreed to send a task **** to help out.

The group set up in DCM MJ & Kori's apartment, working out the plan with the LSV MJ. "So once we sent the photos, how long until they show up?" DCM MJ asked, eager to get to work.

"It won't be long... a couple of days, likely, maybe even less," Kori replied. "Komand'r won't hesitate to confront us."

"We should at least make sure that we have everything in place before sending the pictures," LSV MJ said. "There's no telling who this Blackfire will bring with her."

"Already taken care of," DCM MJ said, pulling up her phone. "The Titans, Gwen, Kara, Diana -- they're all standing by for us if we need them. Max is offworld, but she says she can make it back by tomorrow. Diana says she's talked to Hal Jordan -- he's on Oa right now, but he says there's a pair of Green Lanterns on Earth ready to help us."

"So we send the pictures tomorrow," Kori nodded, "Tonight, we should prepare for my sister as best we can..."

The next day, the two MJs and Kori met the two Green Lanterns on Earth, who immediately gave the trio a warm welcome. One was Jessica Cruz, an Earth-bound Green Lantern, while the other was Arisia Rrab, a native of the Graxos system who looked very familiar to the DCM MJ, even without her human disguise.

"Cindy Simpson?! You're a Green Lantern?!"

"I am, actually... it's good to see you, MJ," Arisia said, smiling. "I guess the cat's out of the bag now -- Cindy Simpson's actually an alias. My real name's Arisia Rrab. I'm from the Graxos system."

"So you're an alien, too. Whoa... this is cool," DCM MJ said. "I gotta say, the pointy ears are really hot."

Arisia blushed. "You... you think so?"

"Oh, yeah. Lately I've been noticing how... pretty alien women are," DCM MJ grinned.

"Oh! Um, well... I'm flattered," Arisia said, clearly flattered. "It's good to see you too, Kori."

"Likewise, Arisia. Are you still modeling?" Kori asked, smiling.

"Not right now... I've been busy with my Green Lantern duties," Arisia explained. "Maybe I'll get back into it eventually."

"If you need any representation, our agency is the best," DCM MJ said, pulling out a Looker agency business card. "You should give Emily a call -- you're exactly the type of person she's looking for."

"Thanks. I'll give her a call if I get back into modeling," Arisia smiled, looking at the card. She motioned over to Jessica to introduce her. "This is Jessica Cruz."

"Nice to meet you," Jessica smiled, extending her hand.

"Likewise," DCM MJ shook her hand. "I'm MJ, and this is Koriand'r. And this is also MJ."

"So were helping the you from this universe and the you from another universe try to capture an evil you from yet another universe... and she's a Red Lantern... this job keeps getting weirder and weirder," Jessica said.

"She's a Red Lantern, but I don't believe she is evil," Kori said defensively. "Something happened to her, I'm sure of it. That's why we have to help her..."

"How? Red Lantern rings don't come off. Not without killing the wearer," Jessica pointed out. "The only person I've ever heard of surviving losing a red power ring is Supergirl..."

"We know. It was Kara's girlfriend that managed to save her," Kori continued. "If we can find out where this MJ came from, find someone she loves, maybe we can free her, too..."

"That sounds like finding a grain of sand on a beach... only way bigger," Jessica admitted. "The multiverse is really, really huge."

"We have a solution for that," DCM MJ said. "If we can get a hair sample or something like that from angry me, we can take it to a contact at S.T.A.R. labs who can give us the location of her universe."

"And then it's up to me to travel there and find out more about her," the LSV MJ added.

"You sound like you've thought this out," Jessica said, impressed. "What do you need from us?"

"Backup, mostly. We don't think angry me is gonna come here without at least one other Red Lantern backing her," DCM MJ explained.

"All right then. Let us know when you need us," Jessica said as Arisia nodded in agreement. "We'll be waiting on standby."
