"...you know, you could take this a little more seriously," Kazuma deadpanned at Ria, who was floating nearby eating popcorn. Where she even got it, he didn't even want to know. They were in the Guild Hall, with all the other adventurers, where the Destroyer had been explained to be created by an advanced nation called Noise, a giant spider like machine the size of a castle, but faster and more agile than might be expected, meant to be a weapon against the Devil King, gone berserk. With the Anti Magic Barriers around it, that left physical attacks, but it had an army of metal golems aboard, and there were ballistas on it too. Supposedly, the one who made the thing in the first place was the one controlling it.

"Why? Not like this really affects me, does it?" she smirked. "It'll be a good show though. Go nuts! Of it helps, I'm rooting for you!"

"...yeah, thanks," Kazuma deadpanned. He then turned back to the hasty strategy meeting, where solutions were being proposed and shot down. Rin suggesting that they build a big moat around town? It had been tried, the Destroy just jumped over it. Dust suggesting they try and contact Noise to ask about potential weaknesses? What nation exactly did he think was the first one that was wiped out by the psycho machine? Kyouya suggesting he use Gram to cut off the legs? Anti Magic Barriers, remember? Magic swords count.

"...Kazuma, you're smart," Taylor said, walking up to Kazuma. "Don't you have any ideas?"

"I had a thought about trying to get inside and trying to destroy it from within, but that was shot down before I even voiced it by the mention of the golem army," Kazuma denied. "I don't know if Lurk would work on those machines either... If only we could do something about the barriers..." He then paused, and turned to Aqua. "Wait... Didn't Wiz suggest that you might be able to dispel the barrier around the Devil King's castle if we got the generals linked to it low enough in number? What about the ones surrounding the Destroyer?"

"...it may be worth a try," Aqua said. "But Megumin said it herself, even an Explosion from her is unlikely to do the job, even without the barrier..."

"What about Wiz, maybe she could hit it with a powerful spell or two as well?" Fio suggested, walking up.

"Well, someone go get her then!" Kazuma replied.

"I'm... Actually already here," Wiz stated, approaching. "I can use Explosion Magic myself, so I can back Megumin up!"

"Sweet! And Kyouya, you can add to the hurting on that thing if we can get the barriers down!" Kazuma turned to his fellow reincarnate from Japan.

"You can count on me Kazuma!" Kyouya nodded. "If we get that barrier down, then Gram will make short work of that thing's legs!"

With the plan agreed upon, everyone rushed to the edge of town to meet the Destroyer.
