New decisions

You sit down on the table and take a slice of bread. Alima really put some effort in breakfast, like always. She made tea, coffee bread, buns and even an egg for everyone. You are the last one on the table and Lilly and David are already done. But they waited for you, which means they want to talk to you.

“Well, now that we all are here, let’s have a talk about today’s plans,” Jenny begins “Lilly told me that in one or two weeks you will have all rooms modernized and ready. In the basement, we found a lot of tools, unused faucets and other useful things. With this, I’m sure we can finish the basic work by the end of next weekend.”

“That’s very optimistic, considering the fact that Max and I are doing almost all heavy construction work,” Lilly replies critic, “we need more hands. And not only for a few hours.”

“We all do our work on this project,” Gina replies, “and there is more to do than just the rooms. The warm and dry weather period is coming to an end and we still have a huge hole in the roof over the right wing. And three or four smaller ones over the whole roof. An ex-boyfriend of me, who studies architecture, told me he could plan a glasshouse for us in this big hole. But he needs measurements. And I need help with this. I would take Max with me for the morning.”

“Get in line, Gina,” Lilly replies sharp, “the bathrooms come first. That was clear from the beginning. He is going to help me today. Despite, why do you need help with some simple measurements. Just grab a folding rule and a piece of paper and get started.”

“You get him every day, Lilly,” Connor interferes, “and I’m afraid I need his aid too. I’m going to sell the stuff we found in the basement yesterday. And with the money, I buy new construction material in the hardware store. I need someone with knowledge about what you need.”

“Well, seems like you are very poplar today, Max,” Jenny says smiling, “I guess it is up to you who you are going to spend the morning with.”
