A Promotion

There was one final Christmas present after Jerome and Carrie returned to Texas. An invite to dinner with the board. There, it was announced that Jerome was being promoted to the number two officer in the Southern United States. A big raise, big opportunities, and a move to Atlanta. Carrie jumped into Jerome's arms, kissing him soundly. There was no question that she would go with him.
