How does their exit go?
Back to normal with Aqua again.
They were heading out of the dungeon, cheering the treasure, mostly Dust and Cremea. Dust because he had been a bit of an ass in the chamber after Khiel was gone, and Cremea due to having the strongest strength stat of the group. "Well, that went swimmingly!" Taylor remarked. "A couple of us got a level, we gained some treasure, and we helped a legendary figure find rest! I'd say we had a productive dungeon crawl!"
"...yeah, I still didn't get another level," Cremea pouted. "This stretch of levels is gonna be loooooong," she whined. "I gotta hurry up and get to level forty so I can become a Dragon Knight..."
Kazuma noticed Dust stiffen for the briefest of moments, almost brief enough to make him think he imagined it, but that just piqued his curiosity further. "Do you guys think he's going to see his wife again?"
"I think so!" Rin noted. "He seemed like a decent sort... You know, aside from the whole lich thing..."
"Besides, the goddess Eris is a generous being," Taylor said in a pious tone. He WAS a Crusader class after all.
"Yeah, she'll probably manage something," Aqua agreed.
"Think his wife was happy all that time?" Kazuma mused. "A life on the run as a noblewoman can't have been easy..."
"I couldn't tell you for sure," Keith shrugged. "But from what Khiel mentioned, she no doubt preferred it to what she was running from at the very least."
"Makes sense," Kazuma agreed, before they turned the corner... facing another horde of undead.
"More of them!? Argh, I'll just have to purify them all!" Aqua growled.
"... actually, come to think of it, why ARE we facing so many of them?" Kazuma asked, staring daggers at Aqua, who paused and looked nervously at Kazuma while the other six in the group looked a bit confused.
"...why are you looking at me like that?" Aqua asked nervously.
"I seem to recall Khiel mentioning something about sensing your holy aura..." Kazuma remarked, crossing his arms, causing everyone else to realize what Kazuma was getting at, and also glaring at Aqua. "...could it be that you're attracting all of these undead to you?"
"... d-don't be silly!" Aqua protested unconvincingly.
"Come to think of it, weren't all those undead knights in Beldia's castle also fixated on you?" Fio pointed out.
Aqua sweat rapidly, and Kazuma and the party exchanged brief looks... then the party bolted away from the undead, leaving Aqua there. "Have fun purifying all of them!" Kazuma shouted back to her.
"W-wait! Don't leave me!" Aqua cried, running after them. "I'm sorry!"
