Luffy asks Vivi for forgiveness

While Luffy was waiting for Vivi to return, he was thinking about what Vivi had said.

'Vivi's right. What am I doing, making trouble for her when she has important princess stuff to do now that Alabasta is safe. And if Vivi does decide to stay behind, who knows when we'll see each other again? Do I really want Vivi to not even consider me a friend anymore over this? I have to ask for forgiveness and make it up to her' thought a guilty Luffy.

After what seemed like forever to Luffy, he heard the door open and when he looked, he saw it was Vivi carrying clothes that he assumed was his maid uniform. He saw that dhe was still a bit upset so he walked up to her and did the "move" that Vivi taught him at Drum Island. He got on his hands and feet and bowed his head to Vivi.

"I'm sorry Vivi, I mean Princess Vivi. You were right, I was acting too selfish and I wasn't being helpful when you asked me to help you. I'll be your maid until I leave and do it the best I can. Please forgive me."

Vivi was shocked, but pleasantly surprised that Luffy remembered the lesson that she had shown him before and did it here to help clear things between them.

"Thank you, Luffy. I appreciate you asking for forgivessness amd I do forgive me. If you remembered what I taught you back in Drum, perhaps you'll pick up on and learn your maid tasks faster than I thought. Here's your uniform."

As Vivi handed out his uniforms, Luffy finally picked up his head and was relieved to see that Vivi had a smile on her face. As Luffy took his maid uniform with a smile on his face as well while looking up at Vivi, both of them could feel a change start to occur in their dynamic and relationship.
