Payback's a bitch!

"Kazuma, run!" Taylor shouted, ready to fight.

"Hell no, this bastard's mine, you guys can run or back me up, but I'm killing it!" Kazuma growled, moving ahead to the shock of his temporary party. "Create Earth! Wind Breath!" he shouted, blowing sand into the feline's eyes just as it was about to reach him. Taken by surprise, the beast recoiled.

In another time, Kazuma would have taken the opportunity to run like hell, but today was different. Today, he was pissed at the potential harm to his girls, and confident in his strength. Kazuma drew his sword, with a fresh coating of wyvern venom on it, and slashed it across the beast's face. It roared in rage, but unfortunately, wasn't paralyzed. It seemed to have high poison resistance.

It swiped at him in retaliation, and he raised his sword to block. The blade took the brunt of the blow, but still broke as he was flung back. 'Damn it, not again!' he mentally protested.

"Fireball!" Rin shouted, blasting at the Beginner's Bane. Unfortunately, it jumped back rather than take the hit, but that at least got it away from Kazuma. Kazuma immediately readied himself as it charged again, murder in its eyes, clearly pissed off at the sand and facial injury if the fact that it was targeting Kazuma was any indication.

"Create Water! Freeze!" Kazuma shouted, and with the repeat of that trick, the feline's eyes widened as it went sliding right past him, rolling ass over teakettle after leaving the ice. Keith took the opportunity to put a couple arrows in its side, while Taylor slashed it it with his blade, opening a gash it its shoulder.

It roared in rage, and swiped at Taylor as it got up, but Taylor was able to hastily back up. It then leered at Kazuma again, and ran at him. "Create Water!" he shouted, and the beast leapt, clearly not going to fall for the ice trick again. Unfortunately for it, that's not what Kazuma was going for, and it was splashed with water in midair. Unbothered, it landed just as Kazuma sidestepped, and then he dropped his broken blade, and latched onto its side, surprising it, planting both hands against its now wet fur. "Shock!" he declared, using the spell he had mostly learned for pleasuring Darkness, putting all the power he could into the spell. Thank goodness he had gotten so much practice with it, given the nightly fun they had.

The Begginer's Bane's eyes went wide in clear agony as electricity coursed through it, the water it was soaked with conducting the shock, and its muscles locked up, keeping it from retaliating or escaping. "Shock! Shock! Shock!" Kazuma roared, spamming the living daylights out of the spell, until smoke was literally rising up from the beast as it was basically cooked alive. Finally, Kazuma's mana gave out, and he pulled back, wondering if the beast was dead yet.

Sadly, it wasn't, though it was clearly staggering about quite drunkenly as it struggled to recover its bearings. "Damn, that thing is tough!" Kazuma cursed as he picked his broken sword back up, and rushed at it, forcing his body a bit, as mana exhaustion was currently being a bitch to him, but he still rammed his blade into its rib cage, driving the metal in, and getting the creature's heart.

The beast collapsed, finally... And unfortunately, on top of Kazuma. "Aaaarrrgh!"

His temporary party stared, in shock. "I don't believe it," Taylor breathed in awe.

"He... He took it down..." Rin continued.

"A freaking Begginer's Bane of all things!" Keith finished up.

"...yes, yes, I'm impressive, I appreciate the admiration..." Kazuma drawled. "But... Could you guys be so kind as to help GET THIS THING OFF OF ME!? It's heavier than it looks, and trust me, that's saying something!"

"Oh, right!" Taylor replied, and the three ran to help extricate Kazuma from his kill.
