Chapter 24 by awesomeness98778
Who does Mom suggest?
Aunt Martha
Martha Doe tries to hold back tears as she packs up her things. But a few fall out of her eyes. She thought her parents would understand and support her like they did when she told them she was bisexual. However, this time was different. Not only are Martha's parents enraged with her current dilemma. They have also disowned her and kicked her out of their house.
As Martha rechecks her suitcase to see if she has everything she wants to take inside, her twin sister, Mary, enters the room. Martha's not in the mood to talk to her older sister by a few seconds. But as she feels a pair of arms wrap around her, she knows Mary won't let her leave without talking. Martha stops holding back her tears as she sobs. "It-It wasn't entirely my fault. Nyssa talked me-"
"I don't care what happened. You're pregnant, and it's something we have to deal with. I'm here to help you."
Martha doesn't know what to say. She thought she would be angry at her, just like her parents. Happy to know she has her sister's support, Martha turns to face Mary and embraces her.
Getting pregnant at only 19 is something Martha didn't plan on. Her girlfriend, Nyssa, was the one who talked her into doing that threesome with Jason. She should have backed out. Why didn't she? Jason said he wouldn't be using a condom. She thought maybe she could manage to avoid getting pregnant. But luck wasn't on her side that day.
Having finished letting out the last of her tears, Martha is starting to feel better. "Did they tell you they kicked me out of the house?"
"Yes. Dad told me everything. I'll call James to ask if he'll let you stay with him until I can convince Mom and Dad to let you live with us again."
Martha unwraps her arms from her sister's body. "Thanks. But I doubt you can change Dad's mind. You know how stubborn he is. And you don't have to call James. I'm not staying in town. I'm leaving."
"Leaving town? What do you mean you're leaving town? Why? You're home is here."
"It used to be. But Mom and Dad made it clear they don't want me here. Plus, everyone in this town is going to know I'm pregnant. I don't want them all to be judging me."
Mary goes to reply but stops to think. Her sister is right. Since the small town is lightly populated, nearly everyone knows each other. The news of a teenage girl being pregnant will definitely get around fast. "Well, where are you going to go? You don't know anyone outside of town."
"I don't know anyone outside of town. But Nyssa does. She has fami-" Before Martha can continue speaking, she's interrupted by her dad's voice as he enters the room.
"Martha! Are you done packing up your things?!"
"Yes, Dad. Can I at least say goodbye to my sister before I go?"
"Fine, but make it quick. I don't want you inside my house any longer."
Martha grabs her suitcase and turns to face her sister one last time. "I don't know if we'll ever see each other again, Mary. But if we do, 'hope'-fully, it'll be someplace where I know I'll feel welcomed."
Mary smiles as she wishes Martha well before she leaves. She knows where her sister's going. It's a place Mary can't afford to go right now. But hopefully, in the near future, she can go there, find Martha, and maybe even bring her back home.
Present Day
"Master. Wake up. We're finally here."
The first thing I do after opening my eyes is look out the car window. I smile as, for the first time in my life, I'm someplace outside of Wingston. Nowhere in Wingston is there a massive water fountain.
Before I exit the car, I look toward Mom and Rachel and say, "Remember, until I say otherwise, you'll address me as John from now on, not Master. Do you understand?" They nod yes simultaneously before joining me in getting out of the car.
Before we left the house to take a long road trip to find my aunt, whom I never knew existed until yesterday, I used the app to change Mom's and Rachel's bodies back to their original shapes. It's only temporary. But I can't have my Mom and sister walking around in public with clothes that don't fit their once-enhanced bodies. Everyone would be staring at us. The app's not strong enough to affect so many people at once yet, so I can't make everyone ignore us.
"So, why do you think your sister's in... What's the name of this town again, Mom?"
"We're in Chance Harbor. And this is Chance Harbor's famous Hope Fountain. One time, when Martha and I were kids, our parents took us here. We've always wanted to come back. But I haven't seen her since my parents kicked her out."
Mom told Rachel and me everything about what happened between Martha and her parents. They kicked their daughter out of their house for getting pregnant without being married. I never met my grandparents on my Mom's side. But I understand why now. From what Mom told me about Martha, they seemed to have had a close relationship.
"I'm sorry your parents kicked out Martha. But how are we going to find her? I doubt she's currently here right now."
"Don't worry. If Martha is still with Nyssa, I have the address of where they live. But I thought I would show you two the Hope Fountain. Isn't it lovely?"
I will admit that the fountain is a beautiful sight to see. I feel a sense of happiness as I watch the water shoot out from the middle and fall into the pool of water below. Taking my phone out of my pocket, I take a picture of the fountain. I don't know if I'll ever return to Chance Harbor again after we leave. But I at least want to have something to remember about my time outside of Wingston.
"The fountain is beautiful, Mom. But can we go and try to find Martha now? I really want to meet her," Rachel says.
"Alright, we'll go."
Rachel and I follow Mom back to the car. Using the GPS, we get to the address in about 20 minutes. As we approach the nice-looking house, I wonder how Martha will react upon seeing her sister after so many years. I become slightly nervous as Mom knocks on the door. A minute later, it opens.
Mom said Martha is her twin sister. So, the woman who answered the door can't be Martha since she doesn't look like Mom. She's slightly taller than me, has blonde hair that goes down slightly past her shoulders, and is quite attractive. But the thing that stands out the most is the woman has different colored eyes. Her left eye is green, while her right eye is blue. While I have no idea who this woman is, Mom seems to recognize her.
Who answered the door?
