Nami Talks With Luffy

As the Thousand Sunny was traveling along with the Straw Hat Pirates needing to find a way to be able to go to Fishman Island, the crew were relaxing and each doing their own things. Nami saw that Luffy wasn't doing much and she saw that as an opportunity to talk to him about his Gears.

"Hey Luffy. Do you have a moment?" asked Nami when she got to Luffy.

"Oh hey Nami. Sure, do you want to play a game or something?" replied Luffy.

"No, it's not that. It's about your so called Gears."

"What about them?"

"I'm worried about you. They have bad side effects on you."

"But I need them to fight strong people. Aokiji and CP9 showed me that I needed to take my DF up another notch and I did."

"But surely there's another way you can fight? Something less dangerous on your body?"

"If there is, I don't know it. But if you have any ideas, let me know."

"How about a weapon like my old bo staff? What if you fought with that?"

"Well I did used to fight with a metal pipe when I was still new to my DF and having trouble controlling it a long time ago. But would something like that work?"

"I think it wouldn't hurt to try. I can teach you how I used to fight before the Clima Tact. What do you say?" asked Nami hoping Luffy would agree.

"If this swill help you feel better because of my Gears, I'll give it a try. But if it doesn't work out, I'll go back to them. Deal?" replied Luffy.

"Deal," said Nami.
