Wake Up

When I come to I am laying on a table with a sheet covering my body from the neck down. I don't feel much pain anymore, which is a relief. When I look around I appear to be in what looks like a workshop, there are boxes filled with bottles and paper next to the table im laying on and a tray with a needle, thread, and bandages next to me on a stand. There are many cabinets and shelves lining the walls, filled with Bottles, Boxes, and Bowls labeled with different plants and herbs. I see the Red Bandages I had on my leg in a basket near the door.

As I start to get up I accidentally knock over the tray, which gets the attention of the woman I saw before as she rushes into the room.
"No, No, No, you can't be getting up just yet, the stitches have barely just settled and I don't want the wound opening up again." She says as she pushes me back down onto the table with one arm, she is much stronger then she looks... either that or the blood loss sapped my strength. She checks the wound once more and nods her head, satisfied that her work wasn't just undone.
"Your leg was really messed up, how you even got back here was a miracle in and of itself, the gods must really like you or something. Had to stitch some of your tendons back together... thank the gods that you were passed out, I can't imagine how much pain you would have been in. You might have to go see a Cleric in a town over to get full mobility back, I did what I could to help but you will need some healing magic asap unless you want to be in a crutch for a while."
I listen to everything she says and nod. A few moments pass before I remember what has happened to me... im stuck in this game... I am able to feel intense pain and even pass out from blood loss, neither of those systems were said to be in this game. The NPCs are not following some Script, and if they are its a way more complex script then any game has ever had. What worries me most is that the System said "New Data Found", if the power was out that means any internet connection was cut off two... the only thing connected to the system then was.... my brain.... Did the headset copy my brain as data? Does that mean my consciousness is in the game now? Am I just a Copy and the real me is still out there with the busted headset? Did my body die? I had so many questions and I must have been starting to visibly panic because the lady grabbed my hand to get my attention.
"Hey are you alright? You look like your having a panic attack... If your worried about the cost of the surgery we can work something out, no need to panic..." she says with a worried look on her face.
I try to calm myself down, panicking isn't going to help fix this. I take a deep breath to steady myself before speaking.
"I'm... im fine... a lot has just happened recently and the injury caused it all to come rushing at me at once... that's all..." I say, trying to sound as calm as possible.
"Well... okay then. The cost of the surgery, the medicine used on the wound, and the crutch that will help you move around will total 50gp. If you can't pay that all at once we can set up some kind of deal and you can pay me whats left when you can. How much do you have currently?"
"I have 15 gold, but I was about to turn in a quest for herbs..." I just remembered I tossed them aside when I got attacked by the wolf... "But I dropped the herbs when I got attacked... Ill have to go try and find them again... but I promise I can get you the money, im sure there are other quests I can take if that one doesn't pay enough." I say, hoping beyond hope that this injury doesn't ruin any chance at earning money for a while.
"How about this... You give me the 15 gold now and the 10 gold that quest usually gives, and then when you are healed up enough to not need that crutch anymore, come back and we can figure out the payment from there" She says, there is a little hint of something at the end of her sentence, I just catch a glimpse of her eyes traveling down to my crotch for a split second before she meets my eyes again.
I forgot this was a Adult game...
"Sure, the 15 gold is in the pouch that was on my hip, I can probably find those herbs again and get you the 10 gold by the end of the day." I take a closer look at the woman before me, since she insinuated I might have to repay a bit of it with my body. She isn't unattractive my any means, she appears to be in her early 30's at most, kinda gives off a Milf energy so to speak. I can't see her chest very well in her layers of closed under some kind of lab coat, but I can tell she isn't small in that department. Come to think of it the only Unattractive person I have seen so far was that Old lady that helped me, and even then there were signs that she was a Beauty when she was younger, so it is probably just a thing of Preference, im sure some people playing this game would find her attractive.
She seems to catch me eyeing her up as a smirk appears on her face. "Ill let you rest up a bit before you head out. Once your leg feels up to it, you can use this crutch and go about your day, Ill be waiting in the front if you need anything, my name is Raven by the way." her smirk becomes a innocent smile as she moves the crutch into arms reach and leaves through the door she came in.

I stay laying down for about 30 more minutes before testing the leg and using the crutch to move around a bit. There is still some pain in the leg, but its not nearly as bad as before, and I don't seem to be bleeding a noticeable amount. With the help of the crutch I make my way out of the room and make my departure known before stepping out into the street, noticing its gonna be night in a hour or two. I must have been out for a few hours at least.
I shamble my way back to the forest and after a bit of searching I find the basket of herbs I had collected near a bush near where I was attacked. Thankfully another wolf doesn't show up, so im able to leave the forest without any trouble and make my way back to the guild hall to turn in the quest. Several of the NPCs in the guild hall notice my injury and give me a sympathetic look, the lady at the front desk looks the most worried.
"I was worried when I hadn't seen you return in over 5 hours, that quest usually only takes a couple at most, it seems I was right to be worried... at least you got the wound checked out, seems like it must have hurt a lot." she says as she puts the 10 gold on the counter.
"Yeah, but I should be ok if I can get some healing magic, according to Raven at the apothecary anyway." I say with a slight smile.
"I hope you can get it healed soon then, wouldn't want you to get attacked again and not be able to run away because of the injury. There are a few rooms for lodging available to members of the guild, feel free to rest there till you have earned enough to move on to your next destination." she says with a kind smile on her face.

I say my thanks before taking the 10 gold and making my way back to the Apothecary to make the second payment and then heading to where they mentioned the lodgings were. The room is rather small, but with my new smaller stature it wasn't a issue, and the bed was comfortable enough. It only takes me a few moments after I lay down for me to fall asleep.
