At Sammie's love nest

Sammie almost certainly made less money than Daisy, but you wouldn't know it looking at her pad. It was decked out in artwork, both stuff she had bought and framed and many pieces that had clearly been painted, sketched, sculpted by her own hands. Almost all of them nudes. Female nudes. She had a gorgeous brick wall and a balcony that would have made any smoker jealous. She took them from room to room showing off her bounty. There was a bedroom, a work-from-home-slash-studio space, a den and a separate kitchen. The only explanation was rent control. From their brief conversations in the office before tonight, she knew that Sammie was born and raised in the city.

"So this is where the magic happens?" Eliza said when she leaned on the doorway to Sammie's bedroom. Her bed was huge, easily a California king. The bedsheets were plain, but Daisy didn't think the bedsheets were what she'd be focusing on if they ended up here.

Sammie chuckled. "You *know* the magic happens in every room of this place, don't you?"

Eliza grinned and kissed her lightly on the cheek. "I bet," she said. Daisy started to fantasize. She could imagine Sammie covered in a whole pile of women on her bed, all of them pleading for attention. The island in the kitchen would be a perfect place for a woman to sit while Sammie went down on them. The couch? That's where the toys came out, very casual, very playful. Daisy couldn't even dream of what would happen on the balcony.

The three of them settled onto Sammie's couch with three glasses of red wine and a joint passed between them. Sammie had produced it from nowhere, so she must have had it at the bar. Both it and the wine had been a big help in calming her nerves. She was still basically buzzing, but now it was more excitement, less anxiety. She loved that they were pretending they didn't know what was about to happen.
