They end up profiting big time.

Aqua was working at purifying the water as Kazuma, Megumin and Darkness drank some tea, keeping an eye out for trouble. Darkness suggested that he may be being too hard on Aqua, but of course, he denied it. Time passed, and then, Megumin just HAD to tempt fate. "Seems like the alligators won't give us any trouble today," she remarked.

On cue, a bunch swam up to the cage and started biting at it. "Eeek! Help!" Aqua cried out.

"You'll be fine!" Kazuma shouted. "That cage is meant for-" Unfortunately, he was proven wrong as he saw the bars bending. "Well, shit."

Darkness proceeded to run forward to "help," but only succeeded in getting a few of the alligators to bite at her clothes. "...alright that's it, Megumin? Light em' up," Kazuma said.

"With pleasure," Megumin replied.

He then suddenly had an idea, and said, "But make it a blast that won't actually kill the alligators... Make it so some of them are only "almost dead." That should ensure their bodies are intact for us to harvest from, and ensure Aqua and Darkness survive." Also, if he could get the final blow on at least a few alligators, he could level up a bit. He still didn't care as much as he should about defeating the Devil King, but anything that could make his life a bit easier by increasing his stats and level, he'd take. It helped that the Sex Note had inspired him to be a bit more creative.

"I will not. Anything less than max power is an affront to explosion magic," Megumin huffed.

"Then I won't carry you back next time," Kazuma threatened.

"...fine, as a favor to you," she conceded, before blasting the area. Aqua and Darkness were thrown, smoking, away from the cage, but still conscious, albeit groaning. Multiple alligators were killed, while the rest were only insensate. Kazuma grinned as he walked up to them, and began cutting their throats one by one, getting some easy EXP. By the time he was done, he whooped as he saw his level had gone from 6 to 9. Excellent. Maybe he could stand a slightly better chance at dealing with some enemies.

Aqua then got up, and proceeded to finish the quest, albeit whining about Megumin blasting her. Darkness was of course moaning in ecstasy, causing Kazuma to shake his head. Hopefully she'd actually listen and invest in some accuracy once she got the quest reward EXP... Oh right, he was her Master now, of course she would. Still, he didn't want to have to micromanage her growth, and she might do the bare minimum to satisfy the order if he didn't, but he started thinking about a way to use the Note to help her out.

(Yeah, I'm going to have the party be a little bit more competent in this erotic version of the story, though I will still try to keep as much of the comedy intact as possible.)
