Coronation day((Banquet))

Selina knocked on Karleen's door and after being given permission she entered trailed by Jiana. "Your majesty allow me to introduce Jiana she is your new junior maid" Karleen looked across from the bed and smiled "Welcome Jiana I am sure you will do well as my maid just listen to Selina she will educate you on proper etiquette." Selina then directed Jiana to prepare Karleen's bath so she could attend the banquet tonight in the main hall of the palace. Selina in the meantime prepared the gown for Karleen which was blue and trimmed with gold webbing. Jiana returned and said "Your Majesty your bath is ready" so Karleen slipped into the bathroom and stripped and entered the bath. Her sister had stopped the need for a servant to wash them as they could better spend time cleaning. After her bath, Selina and Jiana tended to Karleen getting her dressed and made up for the banquet. Soon her escort arrived and they headed down to the hall where the trumpeters announced her arrival.

Once she had sat down the rest of the guests also sat and Karleen noted that to her right was King Gideon and Queen Alyse and on her left King Frederick and her sister Queen Chasin. The banquet started and everyone took their fill of the freshly cooked meats of pork, chicken, pheasant and beef along with the fresh vegetables. The wine flowed and some men drank ale instead of wine and then the entertainment started with jugglers and dancers. Soon the night drew to a close and Karleen noted Katherine standing alone at the window looking out into the night. She headed over "Admiral are you okay" Katherine slowly turned wiping a tear from her eye. "I am sorry your Majesty the night was a little hard for me but I shall be okay" Karleen looked at Katherine "I know you and my sister were close and I am sure where she is now she is looking down on you and would not want you to be sad" Katherine smiled then bowed "Your Majesty I need to go I have things to do in the morning and with that she left.

King Damen approached Karleen and he was holding something bundled in a blanket the royal guards started to move to intercept but Karleen signalled them to stay where they were. "Your Majesty I have a gift for you from the mountains of our lands." He unwrapped the blanket to reveal a lion cub which was writhing eager to get out. The cub looked up and saw Karleen and it started to purr loudly as she held out her hand and scratched behind its ears. "She is sired by the king of the lions of the mountains your Majesty." Karleen smiled and took the cub stoking the soft fur then kissed the cub on the nose. "I shall call you Shebe" talking to the cub then looking at Damen she thanked him for Shebe. She ordered one of her servants to bring the cub some food and milk while she took a seat watching her guests starting to leave. She put shebe down on the floor when the food was delivered and the cub started to eat and drink while Karleen stroked her. When the past guests had left Karleen headed back to her chambers with Shebe in tow running to keep up with her.
