Chapter 5 by bugbear

Is Victoria allowed to escape

The servants fetch her back

Victoria slammed shut her bedroom door; frantically she wondered how she could escape from the house. Would any of her former friends give her shelter? Maybe she could go abroad until she came of age, and escaped her Guardian’s madcap scheme.
Suddenly her bedroom door was opened. She turned to face her maid, Margaret, and behind her the footman she had seen in the hall.
“Get out” she shouted, but the servants simply came forward. “
“Mr Bartlett has told us to bring you down to the library,” said Margaret.
“I’m not coming, now get out!” repeated Victoria, but the servants ignored her and each seizing an arm, they physically dragged her out of her bedroom.
“If you come quietly, Miss, then you can walk,” said Margaret, but Victoria merely struggled harder. “Very well, Miss, we’ll do it the hard way. “
Another footman appeared and grasped Victoria’s legs, and the three servants bodily carried her down the stairs, ignoring her struggles and protests and physically carried her into the library; Mr Bartlett greeted her arrival with an impassive face.

Are the servants told to leave?
