They knew the answer to that question and there was no use trying to hide it. The game was up. Daisy, blushing bright red in her almost demure turtleneck dress, copped to the truth. "Yeah," she said. "That was my first kiss with another woman. ... those were my first kisses with another woman." It felt strange to say, but it felt even stranger to recognize it within herself.

Both ladies looked positively ecstatic. "Oh, girl," Eliza said. Her eyes were glowing. They were brown. Totally at odds with the rest of her coloration, and yet they were stunning. "Congratulations."

"Yeah babe, congratulations," Sammie said. Somehow, she made it sound like a threat.

They had hedged Daisy in and up against the pillar as if they were afraid she was going to escape. "You said you two are coworkers? How did a cutie like this work down the hall from you for so long without being kissed?" Eliza asked.

"I didn't think she'd be interested," Sammie said. She had a smug grin. With most people Daisy would hate a look like that, but then, she was drenched. In sweat. Mostly sweat. Excited sweat.

"Is she interested?" Eliza asked, looking hard at Daisy again.

Daisy had lost her voice. She found it again at the bottom of a big pile of anxiety and excitement all mixed up together. "Yes," she admitted.
