Daisy lies about her relationship with Sammie

Daisy saw a chance to do something funny. She tried to get over her shock at seeing a coworker making out with another woman in public so she could keep a straight face. Arms crossed, brows furrowed, and pretending she was about to cry, she blurted: "Of course I am! Does this look like a woman who would stay single for long?" she demanded to know.

The frizzy-haired blonde peeled herself away from Sammie. She looked absolutely pissed, probably at both of them. "Oh my God, I'm so sorry. We were just dancing at first," she said. "I didn't know, I swear I didn't know. I'm getting out of here," she said.

Daisy caught a look at Sammie for just a second. She did not look happy. "See that you do, homewrecker!" Daisy cried. She wished she had a drink, so she could throw it in the other woman's face. She'd always wanted to do that. The other blonde made herself scarce. The thick crowd of the club made her impossible to follow.

As soon as she was gone, Sammie burst out laughing. "You bitch!" she said as she chortled. "I was going to get laid tonight!"

Daisy smiled and shrugged, almost dancing in place like an innocent ingenue. "Sorry honey, when I see you with another woman I just can't help myself." Then, in a lower voice, she added. "I didn't even know you liked girls."

Sammie sidled closer to her. She still had her blouse lowered to her elbows. It made her look elegant and fashionable, even though she was covered in sweat and red from head to toe. In fact, the exerted look just made her look better. She leaned in close to her 'wife' and made very deep eye contact. Their foreheads were almost touching.

"Well, honey, I hope you forgive me. If you follow me to the bathroom I think I can make it up to you. In the marital way," she said.

Daisy gulped.
