You continue serving drinks and food. Since the incident, Lucas seems to keep contact with you to a minimum. You are glad about this, because you consider him an asshole, but he constantly watches you with a mix of anger and degradation. After some time, Mr. Riley comes out of his office and wide his eyes. He comes straight to you and ignores Lucas, much to your enjoyment.

“My goodness, that’s incredible,” Mr. Riley says impressed, “we hadn’t so many customers since the last waitress quit. You look good in the shirt by the way.”

“Really?” you ask surprised, “the café is this full for about two hours now.”

“Amazing,” Mr. Riley says excited, “tell me … can I convince you somehow to work here full time? They seem to come here for you.”

“I’m sorry, Mr. Riley, but I plan to study from Monday on,” you answer flattered, “but if you want to employ a woman full time or at least part time I can give you some advice and keep my eyes open.”

“You are an angel, my dear,” Mr. Riley says happy, “and you have a new customer. I have something to do in the storage. We got a delivery. You find me there when you need me.”

You nod and head over to the table. Your new customer turns out to be nobody else than Eric. He smiles when you come to him.

“Eric, you are back,” you say happy, “everything alright with your friends?”

“They are still idiots, but at least they are out of danger,” Eric says and you can tell he is relived, “and your father called me. He wants us to come back to the mansion immediately. Seems like I’m your last customer for now. Well, I would like to order a small coffee with milk and a piece of caramel cake. I would also ask for your number like the other guys, but I already have it.”

“I get your stuff and change,” you agree, “by the way, how did you find me?”

“Easy,” Eric mumbles, “several students I met on my way talked about the cute new waitress in old Riley’s café. Wasn’t hard to figure out it is you.”

You just shrug your shoulders, prepare Eric’s order and head to the storage to tell Mr. Riley you leave now. He is disappointed at first, but offers you to work here as a waitress whenever you want. And he keeps his word and lets you take all tips you earned, which is an impressive amount of 20 Dollar. Not bad for two hours of work. Afterwards you go to the lockers and begin to change back in your usual clothes. Or rather, you would, if Lucas wouldn’t be present as well.

“Lucas, what the fuck are you doing here?” you ask slightly angry, “the café is full and nobody is taking orders.”

“I just take a short break,” Lucas replies unfriendly and crosses his arms, “and why the hell do you even care about the café? You don’t even work here.”

“I have no time to discuss this with you at the moment,” you hiss, “can you take your break somewhere else, please! I need to change.”

“Don’t let me stop you,” Lucas replies and stays where he is.

“Listen you pervert,” you say angry, “I neither have time nor patience for this shit. So, do yourself and me a favor and get out of this room!”

“And if not?” Lucas replies and comes closer, “are you going to call your huge boyfriend? Do you think this idiot scares me?”

“What the hell is your problem?” you ask, “why are you acting like the biggest asshole on earth since the moment we met? Have I done something to you?”

“You bitch just come here and ruin my workplace,” Lucas hisses angry and suddenly grabs your neck and chokes you, “I work here for a shitty payment every day. For an old idiot who can barely walk anymore. The only reason I stay here is because the work is quiet and as soon as the old man is bankrupt, I can take over this shithole. But you bitch just come here, wiggle with your ass and lure all this pervert losers in the café. I had to watch you flirting with all these assholes the whole day. Now I deserve at least that you are a little friendly to me too. Go to your knees you fucking whore or you leave this room with a bloody nose.”
