You and Amanda had set the ground rules. Two dates a week per candidate. Ten candidates, five selected by you and five by Amanda. The candidates could be known to either you or Amanda or they could be random men from Tinder or another dating service. The Tinder profile was accessible to both Amanda and you, so there no hiding anything from the partner. Each prospect would be fully informed as to your condition, and the fact that things could improve, and that Amanda would be off the table if that happened. For purposes of this period, Amanda was in the 'it's complicated' relationship bucket, although you both agreed that she could switch it over to 'single' should it be so required.

With those rules established, you both did your independent research. It was tricky. Should you lead with the biggest alpha you had identified, or pick someone that would remind you of ... you, to be honest, someone you could trust her with?
