Certainly an interesting one.

"Well... To answer your questions in order, I thought it might be helpful to have a guard dog along. And how is obvious, I smuggled him in the bag. When is when we left!" Ruby said cheerfully.

"Ruby..." Jaune face palmed as he processed this. "HOW exactly is a dog of that size going to help us on this adventure?"

"Why, isn't it obvious!?" Oobleck said, suddenly appearing and picking Zwei up, and scaring the crap out of the whole group. "Dogs are known for their sharp instincts and keen sense of smell, making them the perfect companions for the mission we are on!"

"...you CAN'T be serious," Pyrrha groaned, realizing that Oobleck's eccentricity would let Ruby get away scot free with endangering Zwei.

"I'M a genius," Ruby grinned.

"Grimm!" Oobleck suddenly said in an undertone, pointing, making the group stiffen. They turned to see a Beowulf type, wandering alone. Oobleck was just going on about how to track it to its pack... When the whole pack had shown up and rendered the whole exercise moot... And then the pack spotted the party. "Well then boys and girls... Show me what you can do," Oobleck stated, and the group sprung into action, making short work of the Grimm, though one almost managed to catch Jaune by surprise by leaping out of a building, but Pyrrha saved him a hit to his aura by controlling his shield to block the surprise attack, and he did the rest with his blade.

"Good work all of you! But this was the first pack of many!" Oobleck stated. "We'll have our work cut out for us, investigating this sector!"

"Great," Ren groaned.

As they got to work clearing the area, Oobleck was examining the place. "You know, I was hoping to see a seasoned huntsman in action," Ruby pouted. "Couldn't you at least help us fight?"

"Ah, but I AM in action! No all huntsman work is about combat you know! No, I am investigating these ruins for any signs of irregularities!"

"Right..." Jaune groaned. This was going to be a loooong mission.

As the day continued, Jaune cut down several Grimm, and just as he finished off the last one in the area he had gone to, Oobleck appeared again. "Tell me Mr. Arc... Why did you want to be a huntsman?"

"Uh, what?" Jaune asked, caught off guard.

"It's a fairly simple, yet remarkably profound question Mr. Arc. Huntsmen do dangerous work... So why did you sign up to become one?" Oobleck pressed.
