Hilda manages to bail Sylvain out of the worst of it.

"Hilda! What do you think you're doing?!" Ingrid demanded heatedly as she approached Hilda right outside of Sylvain's door. "Were you... Sleeping with Sylvain!?" she asked.

"No!" Hilda quickly denied, her mind racing. "I just... Kinda left the homework Manuela gave me with him to do for me, because he owes me a favor is all."

Sylvain, hearing this from Hilda from the other side of the door, which he had been listening at, quickly grabbed some parchment to write on like he was doing an essay.

Ingrid blinked at the quick witted lie, before she scoffed, and crossed her arms. "And what, pray tell, did you do for him that got him owing you a favor in the first place?"

"Oh!" Hilda replied, thinking fast again. "Just before the year of education started, I saw him getting his pocket picked at the market, and called the thief out so Sylvain could catch him in the act!" she came up with.

Ingrid snorted. "Figures the only thing you'd do to help someone out is give them a warning. It takes less effort than lifting a finger."

"Oi, what's that supposed to mean?" Hilda huffed.

"You know damn well that you're lazy, and I also know you're not above using your femininity to get your way with the drooling idiots in Garreg Mach!" Ingrid huffed.

"Now now Ingrid, don't lose your cool over her," Dorothea placated, and Ingrid sighed, taking a deep breath.

"...fine, I'll let it slide," Ingrid grumbled. "But if I catch you taking advantage of Sylvain's womanizing tendencies because he's an easy target, you're going to have to get a LOT of exercise!"

"...I'm sorry?" Hilda blinked, trying to work out what Ingrid meant by the threat.

"Figure it out," Ingrid huffed, walking off with Dorothea, and after a moment of thought, Hilda blanched as she realized that Ingrid meant she'd be chasing Hilda down. Likely with a weapon in hand. Damn. She was clearly quite protective of Sylvain.

Ingrid meanwhile promised herself to have a talk about Sylvain later about doing Hilda's homework apparently.
