Jacob is the ruler of the day

Even people you know get to be the ruler of the day, the first time it happened was when you were going to meet up with your friend for launch. You had been calmly waiting, playing on your phone, then you heard a Jacob's familiar voice: "Hey dude!"

But now it sounded so much deeper, you looked up, and up some more as you watch your now much taller, and not to mention much muscular friend. And he looked absolutely giddy, as he sits down, opposites you on the table, even sitting down, he towers over you and he's so wide, you can't see past him. And floating overhead, looking extremely bored is Jane, she's lounging on her back, playing on her phone at super speeds, but you are here to have launch with your friend, not that you wouldn't mind if Jane joined, so if she wants to butt in, she's free to do so.

He looks at you excited and says: "Dude, you are never going to believe this... Wait, right, erhm... I declare a rule that John would believe me when I tell him about my new power and notice that I can make rules that affect reality, and how things change!"

He's practically exploding from giddiness as he says: "John, I can make rules at school that seem to also change reality, I think I am some sort of king of the school, at least some parts!"

You give him an awkward look, knowing rules don't seem to affect you, but by the look that he's giving you, he's clearly expecting an answer from you, so you decide to play along, and say in a rather bad shocked way: "Wait, what... that's crazy!?"

As you fake being shocked, you notice Jane ears perk up, from above, as she stops playing on her phone, turns around on her stomach, resting her head on her crossed arms, as she looks down, now smiling a little bit.

He can barely contain himself as he says: "Yeah! I know, It was just like a thought that popped into my mind when I stepped out of the coed showers after practice, I could hardly believe it myself!"

You keep up the act and say: "Wow, I can hardly believe it... so it happened right after you left the showers..." you then give Jane a judging side glance, causing her to look guiltily away, as you finish in a sarcastic tone: "... what an extremely random time."

Jacob continues: "Yeah, I went to the bathroom and tried it out on myself, and changed myself, that's why I look like this right now! Oh, wait, I declare that my bro John here can see what I have changed." Yet again you try to fake being surprised and say: "Wow, you look huge dude, almost as tall as a girl club member, and your voice, it's so deep."

Jacob looks at you and says: "Huh! Oh, right I forgot, I got used to it pretty quickly... So I think I can do anything now, check this out, I declare a rule that the price of things in this cafeteria is zero!"

Nothing major happens, but suddenly you notice that people around are haphazardly piling on food items, much more than they would probably eat, and the line for the buffet quickly gets longer and longer. You look around and remark lamely: "Oh, wow, amazing."

Jacob looks at you with excitement and says: "So amazing, but that is not the most neat part, I can also change other people, I have made rules to change other people, there are so many things people want but can't have, but I totally can help them now."

You look at your long time friend a little nervously and ask: "Help? Like how?"

"Oh you know, helped some guys and girls in the gym get more buff by stating a rule that everyone's muscles would easily grow. Made a rule that stated that those that want to stop wearing glasses, would have perfect vision, just small things that people told me they wanted." He says, which causes you to relax, because you were worried that your friend would go overboard with his power, and totally change your opinion of him, you notice Jane roll her eye's and look annoyed, but you ignore her.

Jacob looks at you and asks: "So what do you want John? I know..."

Before you can stop him, he says: "I declare that my bro John would be as huge as me!", you both freeze as you wait, but nothing happens, causing Jacob to say: "Oh, I guess you are one of those it doesn't work on, like those girls that were using the treadmill at the gym."

You gesture with you hand and try to cover saying: "Maybe, I don't want to get huge?"

"Oh shit you are right, I just assumed, sorry bro, what do you want John?" he says a little more excited (you also notice Jane give you a coy smile from above).

You squint your eye's and say: "I would like... to get some food."

Jacob says: "Oh, shit right." and stands up from his seat, and the two of you walk to the back of the line, while Jane floats above, looking a little less bored now, but the line is so long now, you walk to the back of it.

You hear your stomach growl, and Jane does too, she gives you an unsatisfied look and says: "Ask him, you know you want to."

You look up at the back of Jacobs head and ask: "Hey, can't you make a rule that we could skip the line?"

Jacob turns around and looks at you with a disappointed look and says: "No, dude, that would be unethical, I can't just skip past all these people in front of us." which causes you to feel a little ashamed, because he's right. As he turns back forward Jane practically explodes above: "See! I have to put up with this all day, babe, your friend is a fucking bore!"

You get a little smug as you think back about Jacob, you have been friends for so long, and by now you have realized, just how much of a chill guy he is, and just now you have gotten a reaffirmation about that, so you look up at Jane and mutter out: "No he's actually the best!" which causes Jacob to say: "What was that?"

"Oh nothing." you say as you give Jane a playful smirk, then you and Jacob wait and chat until you arrive at the food court, finding that most items are out of stock, because everything was free. Jacob realizes his mistake, slaps his head, then gets an idea and says out loud: "I declare that nothing in this food court would run out!"

Suddenly every item appears stocked, he gives you a thumbs up and you both get as much food as you want. You get a burger and some fries while Jacob loads his plate up with almost everything, then you go back to your seats and start eating and chatting.
