Comfortable and happy

When morning rolls around, you wake to find yourself in essentially the same position. Lili is still fast asleep, but when you turn your head, you find yourself looking into Emi’s mismatched eyes. Even after this long, you’re still fascinated by her looks. One eye, catlike and golden, the other a vibrant blue. The scars on the side of her face only seem to enhance her somewhat exotic beauty, and you can’t help but smile as you gently stroke her soft, short hair. Her three catlike ears twitch, and Emi smiles, snuggling closer. Her bare skin is soft against you, and you bask in the shared happiness of simply being close.

After a few moments, she giggles softly. “Umm…my butt hurts, love.”

You stifle a laugh. “Maybe I went a bit overboard. You seemed to like it, though!”

Emi grins. “Very much. But maybe we’ll save that for special occasions. I don’t have as much padding as Lili.”

You both laugh, and as if awoken by her name, Lili stirs. The winged harpy girl sighs as she stretches languorously, nuzzling her face against your neck. She opens her eyes for a moment, smiles, and then closes them again, her winged arm across your chest.

Lili speaks, sleepily. “Happy-happy. But still sleepy-sleepy. We can stay in bed a while, yes-yes?”

You chuckle. “Sure, Lili. I don’t need to get up. We can stay here.”

Lili smiles more, hugging herself against you instead of responding. Emi reacts similarly, making herself comfortable as well. You smile as well, laying your head on the pillow, and basking in the warmth and love you feel from both of them. Sometimes, this is exactly what you need as well.
