What's next?
"So, uh... my friends tell me you're a vampire?"
"Gwen Stacy. Pleasure to meet you," Emily said as the pretty blonde walked into her office.
"Likewise." Gwen replied, looking slightly nervous. "So, uh... my friends tell me you're a vampire?"
Emily smirked slightly, a little amused. "That's not going to be a problem, is it?"
Gwen rubbed the back of her neck and answered "I, uh, don't think so. It's just that, well, my last few experiences with vampires were kinda sorta... um, terrifying."
Emily chuckled. "Fair enough. We vampires don't have a great reputation, and justifiably so. Rest assured, though, I'm pretty sure I'm not evil."
Gwen shrugged. She knew the vampire woman had been working hard to protect models trying to break into the industry from the more predatory higher ups in bigger companies. Furthermore, not only did her friends trust Emily completely -- so did the Batman. And if he trusted her, then she had to be reliable. Still, she'd been caught off-guard by Emily; none of the vampires she'd dealt with in the past were ever so... hot.
"So my friends tell you've been investigating Roderick Kingsley's activities recently?" Gwen asked, trying to focus on business over the fact that she was talking to a gorgeous vampire woman. *Don't think about lesbian vampire porn... Don't think about lesbian vampire porn...*
"I've heard you have, too," Emily agreed. "I think we can help each other out. So tell me, what have you found out about him?"
Gwen handed Emily a flash drive containing copies of the notes she'd made and any relevant documents. The pair discussed their respective investigations for the next few minutes; Emily seemed impressed by the amount of information Gwen had collected.
"OK, so we know that Roderick Kingsley has been secretly injecting himself with Goblin serum," Gwen explained. "And the more of that crap he pumps into his body, the stronger and more unstable he becomes... I don't think anyone in the fashion industry is safe right now."
"Right. There's going to be chaos if we don't stop him," Emily agreed. "And I can't nail down any concrete evidence against him -- he's one slippery bastard. So what do we do?"
Gwen thought for a moment and then suggested, "Maybe we try drawing him out?"
"Draw him out? How?" Emily asked.
"Dude's gone completely nuts. I'm sure we can goad him into doing something stupid," Gwen reasoned. "What worries me is how much Goblin juice he's going to have in his veins when we do."
"So is there anything we can do about that?" Emily wondered.
Gwen thought for a moment. "I guess I could go poking around Oscorp. There's gotta be some kind of antidote or **** to counteract the Goblin serum's effects..."
"I'll leave that to you," Emily said. "When you find something, give me a call. I'll take care of the Hobgoblin bait."
"Sounds like we've got a plan," Gwen said, feeling optimistic. "So, uh... do you miss garlic bread?"
