Unprecidented

Jackson felt as if things were weird the next day. He didn't understand it but it felt as if more people were watching him. Usually he tried his best to not cause attention but no matter what he did there seemed to be someone staring at him. From lecture to lecture there was always one pair of lingering eyes. A single brush against his arm in the halls. It was enough to give him paranoia. His only reprieve was when he found himself all alone, no one around, but that never seemed to last long.

Jackson tried his best to not look up from his book. He was sitting under a peach tree, the one place people were not supposed to go to. No one went to the garden at this time of day. There were too many classes going on right now. Most people only came over during lunch. But somehow Jackson could feel the stare of someone watching him. He really didn't want to, but something in him broke.

He looked up to meet the gaze.

The guy was of hispanic decent. His chocolate eyes seem to hold Jackson's own blue ones. With a smile the hispanic guy started to walk over. Jackson wanted nothing more than to die right there. He sucked at talking to people. Let alone guys. He knew he was gay, it was why the box of male paradise seemed like a funny idea. Now though, the game was just making him paranoid.

"Hey, mind if I joined you?"

Jackson looked the man over, confused. "Who are you?" The guy chuckled and held out his hand for Jackson to take.

"I am Carlos, nice to meet a fellow wanderer of the gardens." Jackson once again just stared at him. He could admit Carlos looked nice, from the perfectly styled black hair and well placed muscles. Still he was weary after an entire day of paranoid looking over his shoulder.

"Jackson." He took the hand and shook it causing Carlos to grin. He seemed so, frat boy like in appearance. "Why are you talking to me again?" Jackson knew he wasn't the best of examples for anyone. He was a bookworm, went to college, and didn't sleep or eat anything besides ramen noodles and coffee. He was literally the guy you avoided because he looked like a zombie.

"You just seemed lonely." Jackson felt his blood pressure rise. His thoughts immediately went back to the card he got from that game. He wanted to say it was real, but at the same time he probably did look lonely because he was. He was sitting alone, under a tree, reading a book. Total loneliness score achieved. Carlos didn't get a response from Jackson. Instead Jackson went back to his book, his face flushing red. All he needed to do was finish the story. Carlos just sat with him, smiling softly as the sun moved across the sky.

Eventually the sky turned a purple amber that was hard not to look at. Carlos looked at the man still absorbed in his book. With a sigh he tapped the man's forehead. "Jackson, the sun is getting low. You want company to bring you home?" Without thinking Jackson mumbled a yes and stood up still engrossed in his book. Carlos didn't do much as he walked beside Jackson. He occasionally took peaks at the man not paying attention. If anything it was almost cute seeing him focused purely on the book.

Jackson, still not fully paying attention entered the dormitories with Carlos in tow. He walked past room after room before muscle memory let him open his own door. He strode in without thought, finally placing the book down. With a sigh he stretched, getting out his stiff muscles from sitting so long. His eyes caught onto the corner of his dorm, the game still sitting there. Only Carlos was there too, looking at the game with intrigue.
