A box

From under the bed, Jervis pulled out a white box. "Here it is, my dear, as I promised something special for you." Jervis sat next to Selina on the bed box on his lap. "As you currently have very little strength, I will open it for you," Hatter said. In a tone that made it clear, he saw her as weak and inferior compared to him.

"Behold" Jervis said opening the box " Special socks and shoes just for you my dear to pair with your dress" Selina tried to fake a smile as hatter showed off the shoe's and socks but then Selina knew after the dress that when Jervis gives a gift there was reason to worry.

"There lovely Jervis," Selina said in a tone so sweet it made her feel physically ill. "The only thing is if I put these on, I won't be able to take off this dress with them on."

" Don't worry my dear there's still plenty of time to remove the dress before it's to late and you wouldn't want to disappoint me when I got you such a lovely gift now would you ?" Jervis said to a scared Selina

Selina thought about it: Did she dare say anything and risk upsetting the hatter, or does she play along and hope he will keep his word.
