A few hours after regaining her sanity Abbie found herself in a therapist’s office. “Now Miss Abbie what brings you in today.”, the therapist asks. Abbie took a big gulp and spoke, “Well for the past two days I’d wake up in public places, in-in a state of undress.” “When you say undress to what degree.”, Abbie blushed at this question, “No need to feel embarrassed we’re both women.” Abbie breathed before answering, “C-completely naked.” The therapist kept a stoic expression and continued to ask questions what’s her situation at home was like and so on. For the most part the answers were typical it was only until Abbie got to her nighttime routine that the therapist found some interest.
“Let’s talk about the night this started what did you do leading up to going to sleep.” Abbie thought for a minute then spoke, “Well I got home, made sure my blinds were closed, took a shower, put on my favorite onesie then went to bed.” The therapist’s eyebrow raised at that last remark, “A onesie. Wasn’t it 80 degrees last night?” “Well yeah but I didn’t want to run the risk of being seen naked so I suffer lot a good that did me though.” The therapist jotted down some notes before continuing, “You seem to dislike nudity, is that correct?” “Yes!”, Abbie blurted out, “It’s the worst. Just the thought of being seen naked makes me want to curl up and die.” “Hmm I see. Abbie I think it’s possible that these episodes are caused by a suppressed desire to be seen.” “That’s impossible I don’t want to be seen naked.” “You could be right but the only way to know for sure is if I put you under a trance.” “Fine I guess but I better not wake up naked.”
The therapist swung a pocket watch in her face and spoke in a calming voice. Abbie drifted deeper and deeper into a trance until she was fully asleep. Abbie laid there unmoving for a few minutes, “Abbie are you asleep?”, the therapist asked. A minute later Abbie started to move grabbing at the hem of her shirt. “Abbie are you awake?”, the therapist asked again. This time she got a response, “No that prude is still asleep.”, Hailey responded.
