There was a fork in the road

Sakura sprinted away, abandoning her destroyed dress. She ran until her teammates were long behind her, but she didn't stop then. No way in hell was she going to let Naruto, Kakashi, or... well maybe Sasuke when the time was right, but not now with the other two, see her wearing only a pair of panties. She'd never live it down or be able to look any of them in the eyes again.

After a while Sakura's lungs gave out and she collapsed against a tree, heaving for breath. The bark scratched mercilessly at her bare back and Sakura winced as a twig nipped at her under-covered ass. Almost as soon as she sat down, Sakura felt an ant crawling up and down her leg.

"EEeeek!" She yelped as she bounced up again, not bothering to cover her exposed tits or stay quiet when she was so deep in the woods. Still, considering she was still on a path, albeit an unmaintained one, there was always that chance that someone might come along.

Not at all happy with this thought, Sakura cautiously began to make her way down the path at a slow pace, not entirely sure what she was looking for or what she was going to do once she found it. If she found civilization again, there was a chance she might get some clothes, but that also meant people to see her. On the other hand, if she didn't find any civilization, she might have to spend the night outside in only panties. Not exactly an outfit that would keep her warm.

Sakura's walk was far from a comfortable one. There were many things that kept it from being a calming nature walk. The whole time the thought of facing Kakashi once she hopefully got dressed again kept barging it's way into her mind. How she had abandoned the mission and her team. Whenever her failure as a ninja wasn't bothering her, nature was constantly reminding her of her near-nudity. Twice Sakura had to leap into the high trees and cloud her chakra as a Chūnin and Jonin ran by, going too fast to notice her. Before long, Sakura's path came to a split. The path going left had the distant sound of running water and a constant thumping, like a hammer on wood.

'Sounds like this would bring me to the hot springs' Sakura thought, not knowing if she liked that or not. In the middle of spring, the springs were sure to be packed with people, but all of them naked, so her being undressed wouldn't be too out of place.

The other path Sakura couldn't hear anything from at all and, not having Hinata's eyes to see with, Sakura had no idea what it lead to, but likely not any people.

Before she could give herself time to chicken out, Sakura breathed deeply, covered up her nipples, and began to march down...
