Let Katherine take charge

Venus furrowed her brow, clearly frustrated by how this other woman was treating her like some trainee with no real experience. However, rather than start another fight that would get neither of them anywhere, she simply let out a slow sigh, gathered her wits and nodded, waving an arm, "Please, lead the way Katherine."

For her part, DuBois just grinned and got onto the wagon, Venus following after her to sit next to her. It wasn't exactly clear if Katherine knew just how much she was flustering the Shadow Hunter, but Venus figured that she was probably well aware of what she was doing. After the wagon made it out of town, Venus moved into the back to change into her hunting apparel. It didn't take long to change out of her dress and into her leathers, though she couldn't help but feel that Katherine had been peeking.

It had begun to grow dark by the time they had reached the tomb, the shadows growing long and a feeling of dread drifted over. The two women climbed out of the wagon, both with swords drawn and stepping carefully. As the reached the door of the tomb, Katherine produced a torch from her pack and lit it, the light itself helping to alleviate their growing distress. Such feelings bothered Venus, for she had been in countless fights against evil beasts, why should this place be any different? Clearly this vampire was as powerful as she had heard, if he was capable of poisoning the land itself with this.. terror.

After a brief moment of contemplation, she looked to Katherine, "What are we likely to be dealing with inside?"

Katherine glanced at the large doors of the tomb, then back to her compatriot, "My sources come from a grave robber that thought there might be something of value down here. From what he told me, I'm guessing ghouls and skeletons. Still, no idea what else might be in there. Are you ready for this, Shadow Hunter."

Venus rolled her eyes, moving close to the door and placing a hand upon it, "Of course I'm ready. Now, lets deal with this."

And like that, the two huntresses crashed through the door and charged into the depths of the tomb.
