A Heartpounding Battle

Charging into the tomb, the flickering light of the torch barely illuminating their path into the darkness. The goal was to take the creatures within by surprise, and as they caught sight of the first ghoul, that certainly seemed to be what they had accomplished. Releasing a furious roar, Venus slashed and removed the creature's head in one, swift, stroke, and they barely lost a step as they continued deeper into the tomb, running down stairs into the main room.

What they found was a rather large nest of undead, fiendishly sickening ghouls, their emaciated forms still quite agile and their claws deadly, skeletons, their bones picked clean of flesh and their skulls bearing an almost devilish grin if such a thing were possible. There were more of them than either had expected, but they were this far in and there was no way they could stop now. And so, looking to one another, they turned back to the fight and rushed into the fray.

Venus already knew of her own skill as she dispatched ghouls with her blade and smashed skeletons apart with her fist and pommel, but she found herself rather surprised by Katherine. The other woman whirled through the undead denizens of the tomb, a whirling dervish of **** and destruction in her own right. Her talent seemed.. beyond human, and the Shadow Hunter nearly lost herself in the spectacle of watching her fellow hunter in battle.

Within a matter of minutes, Venus and her compatriot were the only ones left standing, piles of flesh and bones practically covering the floor around them. Venus could barely believe how much damage they had wrought so quickly, her heart pounding as the adrenaline surged through her. She turned to Katherine, to thank her for her help, only to find the pale young woman moving to her. Just as she opened her lips to speak, Katherine's lips found hers in a soft, but hungry, kiss.

Venus was momentarily stunned by this rather sudden show of affection towards her, uncertain of what to do even as she felt the other woman's tongue begin to slip into her mouth, to explore. Katherine's hands slipped around her waist, running down to reach her toned and tight rear, squeezing the cheeks and pulling the Shadow Hunter closer. Meanwhile, Venus' uncertainty began to form into full blown panic, what would she do? She couldn't deny that the other woman felt quite pleasant to her, her body soft, her lips warm, the scent of her near intoxicating, but.. did she really want to be with another woman, especially another woman she had just met?
