Round 5: Logan’s Draw (Double Up, Extra ???)

“So how did the day go for you?” Logan asked Spencer while everyone was waiting for the next round to begin.

“I found out that the leather item I’m touching has to be functional,” Spencer said with a chuckle remembering his morning.

“So that’s why you were running to your car this morning,” Kyle said.

“You saw that,” Spencer said with a bit of a blush.

“No need to worry, you only looked like you were trying to hide a tear in your pants,” Kyle said.

“Well, how did your day go Kyle?” Damien asked after noticing the slight embarrassment of Spencer.

“It went great actually,” Kyle said with joy clear on his face. “I got a promotion without asking for one and I can stay in my own home instead of a company dorm since my new workplace is just a thirty minute drive away. I also know what I plan on doing for the next few days.”

After Kyle brought up the topic the others were avoiding the atmosphere became tense, without Kyle noticing. As an awkward silence began to set in, the pieces came to life signaling the start of the next round breaking the awkward atmosphere.

“Here goes nothing,” Logan said as he reached for a card.

As his hand grabbed the top card the Black Jaguar Token ran forward six spaces. Seeing this Logan frowned as he lifted the card to read it.

“Double Up - The next card you draw will take effect twice or if the card causes a physical change twice as many things will change. Move six. Draw again.” Logan read with worry showing on his face clearly as he slowly reached for another card.

“It sounds like it could be pretty bad, but what do you think will happen?” Damien asked to no one in particular.

“I don’t know but I guess we will find out soon enough,” Spencer said while intently watching Logan.

“Yeah, best to get it over with,” Logan said gathering his courage and quickly grabbed the next card he had to grab, with his Token running forward four spaces.

“Extra ??? - A card you possess will have its effect be drastically strengthened or if the card causes a physical change, it will cause an effect related to the change or expand the change. Move four.” As Logan finished reading the card it glowed and doubled in his hands with his token moving forward another four spaces and two wheels appearing with all his cards that were affecting him and a small section with none and another that was just barely a silver with the Rush card.

“Guess you just need to spin the wheels before you can end your turn. What are you hoping will get enhanced? Any card you are hoping will not be enhanced?” Spencer said after Logan finished reading the card.

“I’m kind of hoping both land on the none section but that seems really unlikely with them being as small as they are, while the others are much larger and seem to be equally sized. I don’t have any cards I really hope it avoids.” Logan said as he reached for the wheels and spun them.
