A special size mushroom

"A size mushroom?" Gudako asked. "Yeah, a size mushroom. these things have special spores that cause whatever they touch to grow or shrink. With those you can turn a single bird seed into a whole buffet for the whole flock! chirp!" The sparrow said with excitement at the prospect of being helpful. Upon hearing this, Mashu immediately perked up as buffet could be handled. "That's great! where can we get these?"

"Chirp chirp, you can find these in the mountains, just look for a big green mushroom and that should be the one that has the growth spores."

"Ok then, now that we've got our little miracle ingredient how about we do this, Mash and Master, you two can get the dining hall ready for the hungry guests. Tomoe and Kiyohime, you two go gather some vegetable and meat for cooking," Tamamo explained to everyone. "What are you going to do?" Mashu asked. "I'm going to get our growth shroom, as much as I'd love to show Miss Enma how my cooking skills have improved, I'd rather not be around that cat as she 'accidentally' loses her grip on a pot of hot oil around me again."

"I uh- I see," Mashu said worryingly. "Well then good luck Tamamo. We'll have everything ready for you."

"Thank you Mashu, and good luck to you and Master with our guests." Tamamo began to walk out the room when suddenly the sparrow shouted, "wait there's something I forgot to say chirp!" Gudako, a little taken aback at how loud a little creature could shout, asked "What's wrong, is there another dangerous monster on the mountain?"

"Chirp no, not that. The problem is the shrinking mushroom that's on the mountain. Unlike the growth one that's big, easy to spot, and only releases its spores if you hit it hard enough, the shrinking one is the size of a baby's fist, blue, harder to spot and will release its spores simply by tapping it. One of the other sparrows only grazed a feather on it and got shrunk to where we needed special glasses to see them chirp. We found him two weeks later eating out of a beetle chirp."

"Yikes, even for a servant even the most harmless thing can become deadly if scaled to the size of a bug. Though thinking about it now since we're much bigger than the sparrows we'd probably be shrunk to the size of dolls." Tomoe said.

"At that size, even the hottest flames from my love may very well be flames made by a can of hair spray." Kiyohime added to the conversation. "Well I should be fine, as long as I watch my step then I'm not at risk of shrinking."

"Please keep us in contact just in case something happens though," Gudako said slightly worried. "No need to worry master, I'm your wonderful shrine maiden, a task like this is nothing. All right everyone I'm off, lets put out best into this day!"

"YEAH!" everyone shouted.
