Chapter 3 by sumedokin
does she have a plan? Or was she bluffing?
Checkmate!
You have her now. You have a Rook and a Queen, and all you need to do is to push her King and pick off her pieces one by one. You watch your sweetheart cheering at you. People are mumbling. Some of them believe in you. They can't see you screwing up enough to lose at this point. Other people are used of watching Alexis getting out of worse situations.
You Check her with your Queen, she move a Pawn to block. You capture the Pawn; Check again. She moves her Rook right in front of the Queen. If you capture the Rook the King will get it, and if you don't move your Queen she will capture it. You could always threaten the King diagonally and **** her to sacrifice the Rook... but that's what she wants you to do!
You notice that she could easily capture your Queen and put herself in a tactical advantage if you play it that way. Nice try, Alexis. Instead you move your one Rook to guard the Queen. A risk move, but you feel confident that your strategy will pay off.
Two moves later; Checkmate!
The audience becomes awestruck. Alexis has defeated you!
You can't believe it! Was everything she had done to lead to that kind of opening, while trapping your King in the Castling? She moved her Knight to put you in Check, while the Bishop blocked what would have been the only way out. There was nothing you could have done to stop it, because you didn't even see it.
You can't believe the shear foresight of it all. You had the material advantage. Wasn't that enough? Is she really that smart?
Kay looks as disappointed as you have ever seen her.
Alexis smiles.
"Drop the pants, sir" she says giggling, heading for her paddle.
"Let's go to the stage!"
