Chapter 7 by HiBeGi HiBeGi

Does Penny manage to escape?

Penny Escapes....To her Disadvantage

Penny grasped onto Nu, her gloved hands clenching onto the Murakumo Unit's body suit by her right sleeve and the left side of her abdomen. Nu glanced down, pausing her attack to analyze what Penny was doing. And then, without any warning, the android girl recalled Floating Array, the blades ripping themselves out of the metal ceiling; due to Nu's much greater strength in comparison to the **** that Penny's thrusters provided, the two girls were sent downward. But before the two crashed into the ground, Penny straightened out her legs and spun her body around; rather than fighting against Nu's strength, Penny had decided to work along with it, using it to her advantage by switching positions with Nu and slamming her into the wall nearest to them as they headed down, moving diagonally rather than just horizontally.

Nu let out a harsh breath in pain when her back made contact with the steel wall, a small tear forming on her blue body suit in the center of her back. "Advantage: Compromised." The Murakumo Unit monotonously stated. Not relenting, Penny continued to push Nu against the metal wall, sending her thrusters into full throttle once more as she held on tight to Nu. The wall began to creak as the metal began to deform against Nu's back. Her blade of wings still poised to impale Penny, Nu reached out a hand and opened a few rifts behind the Protector of Mantle, ready to summon a few more blades to devastate her opponent. This didn't go unnoticed by Penny, who gritted her teeth and, with a mighty grunt, pushed with everything she had, tearing a hole through the wall and sending the two into the hallway.

The narrow hallway had been exactly where Penny wanted to bring Nu; the tight space is where she'd have the advantage; unfortunately, due to all the **** she had put into pushing the murakumo unit, she ended up overshooting. The android flew down the hall while still clinging onto Nu, slamming her into another wall when they reached the end and ripping straight through it. As they entered the room the wall led to, Penny did not slow down, slamming Nu into another wall and shooting straight through it like it was butter. The sound of metal being torn through echoed throughout the facility as this process was repeated, until it eventually stopped once the two ended up outside.

The cold mantle air blasted the two girls upon their exiting the facility, though due to their artificial nature, they weren't bothered too much. With one last heave, Penny tossed Nu into the open air, ripping off chunks of her outfit that she had been gripping onto. The white-haired girl spiraled through the air for a bit before catching herself, slowing herself down, and coming to a smooth stop. Nu then began to examine the damage that had been done to her; physically, she was fine; that damage was negligible; the only serious damage that had been done so far was a gash in her arm, which Penny had dealt to her earlier in their fight; even then, that was healing. No, the damage she was inspecting was the tears in her outfit. Nu glanced out at the large tear in her right sleeve before moving on to look at the tear on her left side. Next, the anti-sankinshin weapon would look over her shoulder in an attempt to see her back. She couldn't see the damage too well, but she could make out a tear, and more importantly, she could feel it. The cold wind swept past the tear on the back of Nu's bodysuit, causing goosebumps to crawl across her skin. While the tear had started off small, each slam into a wall caused the tear to grow larger, to the point where Nu's bareback was exposed, the tear just barely stopping at her shoulders and not going any further than her waist.

Nu-13 then turned her attention back at her opponent, staring the redhead down. While her visor obscured her expression, the look she gave Penny wasn't one of malice; at most, it was one of annoyance. Meanwhile, the android girl had her back turned to Nu, her face contorted in horror, and her eyes scanning the massive floating facility. The building floated over the ocean a good distance away from the city of Mantle, the waves of freezing water crashing a few hundred kilometers below it. The facility was easily the size of an entire city, and the fact that such a large construct was being supported in the air like this would've been impressive to Penny had she not already been used to the city of Atlas residing in the air in a similar manner. The thing that had shocked Penny was the grave mistake she had just made; in her attempt to relocate the battle to a narrow location, she ended up giving her opponent a wider space to work with. She needed to get back inside. Before the redhead could do anything else, her attention was caught by Nu speaking up. "Outfit integrity: In disarray. Addendum: Target is attempting to compromise decency; additional use of **** is dictated as necessary." The murakumo unit coldly announced her evaluation of Penny's actions.

Penny whipped her body around, confusion riddled on her face. The android looked Nu up and down, noticing the damage to her clothes. A synthetic blush crept onto Penny's face as she looked down at her hands, noticing the scraps of blue cloth that used to be part of Nu's bodysuit resting in her palms. Penny frantically began waving her hands at the white-haired girl, the scraps slipping out of her hands as a result. "Wait! Wait, that's not- I hadn't been meaning-!" The Protector of Mantle had difficulty finding the right words to defend herself, though as she began to sputter, she took note of how uninterested her enemy looked. Penny then glanced behind her, looking at the recently made hole leading back into the facility. Realizing that she was still at a disadvantage, Penny began to devise a way to gain an edge in this battle. Deception wasn't her forte, but nonetheless, Penny found herself needing to try. "Um, how about we take this back inside? It must be pretty brutal to be out here with so much exposed skin-" The android attempted to device her opponent as she slowly backed up, inching toward the hole of torn metal.

The anti-sankinshin weapon threw a hand forward, "Generating Field." Nu announced, simultaneously ignoring and interrupting Penny.

"Field?" The redhead repeated in confusion before suddenly dropping down at a rapid pace as a magic circle that pulsated with red and purple energy opened below her. Penny struggled to keep herself airborne, her thrusters fighting against what felt like a crushing weight. Nu had deployed a Gravity Seed, a spell that manipulates gravity in a fixed location. The Seed was currently dragging Penny down rapidly, threatening to plunge her into the icy water below.

With a grunt of effort, Penny caught herself, her armoured feet centimeters away from scraping the salt water beneath her, the water rippling from the **** her thrusters exerted. Penny's posture relaxed slightly; she relaxed as much as possible while under increased gravity. She had been lucky that today wasn't a particularly cold day; the continent of Solitas had brutal weather; a single snow storm could be hazardous even to those with an aura, as the harsh, bitter winds would eat right through it. While Penny didn't need to worry about the cold while she was in the air or on land, going into the water was a no go, especially with how low her aura is now. Her enemy wouldn't even need to attack her to shatter it; just dipping down into the depths would be enough..

The android girl looked up, her green eyes locking onto her blue-clad enemy. Nu's arms were raised up again, opening rifts to launch more blades at the redhead. "Oh, come on!" Penny groaned, annoyed that her efforts had placed her back at square one—no, even further behind square one, she was in a worse position than where she had started. With her movements being more sluggish under the Gravity Seed, Penny couldn't dodge, finding herself needing to block the incoming onslaught. Penny pointed forward, commanding Floating Array to shield her from the front, the ten blades spinning rapidly to protect its user.

Is Penny able to make it back into the facility?
