How do they decide who stays with Emporio?
They argue about it
The two Jolynes looked at each other with shock, both of them having suggested the same thing at the same time.
"As much as I don't like the cell it at least has a proper bed," Jolyne said. "Where do I sleep here? The piano?"
"I'd rather you sleep there than me," Jolyne said. "The inside of that piano doesn't look too comfy."
"And what makes you think I'd want to sleep there?"
"You're the one that brought it up!"
"Um, does it really matter?" Emporio chimed in. "I mean, the two of you seem to be the same."
"But is she really?" Jolyne glared daggers at her doppelganger. "Maybe I should stay here after all, it'd probably be safer if I'm near Emporio."
"Hey, what's that supposed to mean!?" Jolyne yelled back at her doppelganger. "Are you accusing me of being the enemy or something!?"
"Anyone would be suspicious if some 'perfect copy' came out of them, until you prove your loyalty you should stay back!"
"Stop acting like I'm the one that popped out of you. YOU popped out of ME! You're the one that needs to prove loyalty here, you might just be the enemy!"
The two went back and forth, Emporio just watching anxiously.
