Chapter 3 by Cell Gaze Cell Gaze

What's next?

Sentenced By The National Convention

Following the execution of King Louis XVI, the question of what to do with his beautiful wife Marie Antoinette became a matter of political debate. Some called for her exile, others for her ****, but the peculiar figure Maximilien Robespierre, in his blue-tinted spectacles, sat quietly ruminating. He had recently encountered the illicit writings of the Marquis De Sade, and had some thoughts of his own for what to do with the now widowed Queen.

"My friends," he finally declared, standing, "May I put forward a proposal?" Robespierre was not an imposing man. He was short and had a rather ruddy complexion, but when he spoke all turned to listen,

"We are all of course horrified by the cruelty of slavery that has laid waste to our liberty and fortunes for centuries." There was a general nod of agreement, "However!" he continued, "Did we not also dispense with our principles when we executed the King? Many of us were against the **** penalty, including myself, but we all saw fit to use it when a conundrum like the King appeared. My proposal is that, though we all find slavery abhorrent, the Queen is a special case. To **** her into slavery would be the ultimate achievement of the Revolution, the true victory of the people over the Monarchy, the enslavement of the slavers by the slaves!"

There were shouts of approval and solidarity at this idea, and so the National Convention determined that, instead of executing her, Marie Antoinette would be sold into slavery.

Who buys her?
