The creature is defeated but something happens...

The battle was long an arduous but in the end the trio had been worn down the beast. Nia and Jasper had managed to match the beast, with Jasper using his sword to slowly chop off each of its heads. First was the ram, who had been sliced off as he dodged it. Then came the snake who he had cleaved in half when it had lunge for Esther. Now all that remained was the Lion.

"Ehe...this getting exhilerating." Nia giggled. Her clothes were torn and stained with blood but she was not worse for wear, no doubt it was all thanks to Esther's healing mitigating whatever damage was done. "Are you out of fight beasty, or can you still go another round?" She taunted the creature.

The monster seemed to understand what she was saying. It looked offended enough from Jasper and Esther's view as it made its final stand. Despite all the blood loss the creature still had some fight left in it. It wasn't going to lose just yet. Even if this body would fail. Using what remaining strength it had left, the creature charged forward, going directly for Nia. To say the lady didn't welcome the challenge would be an understatement, she seemed just as eager to meet it as it did her.

She managed to catch the creature by its paws but that didn't stop its momentum. The two tumbled down as they wrestled with Esther and Jasper trying to keep close. Eventually it had pinned Nia to the ground. Nia looked on as a wicked grin appeared on the creatures face as it prepared its final attack. Just as it reared its head.

STAB!

Blood splattered as Jasper's sword went right through its heart. The creature looked down in shock at the sword in its chest and then glanced at Nia's face. She smirked at it.

Enraged the creature still made its last move and bit into her shoulder, its ear brushing against hers. The bite while initially strong quickly weakened as the monster's body went limp, before it dissolved into magical energy.

The creature had been defeated.
