Kathryn

"Hey Kendall! My dad asked me to tell you that he wants to talk to you this evening."

I turned around and faced Kathryn, the bishops daughter. She was about a month younger than me and I had a bit of a crush on her.

"At the church?"

"No, the house. He said it was important. 6:00, got it?"

I nodded and continued to my class. The rest of the day went by quickly because my classes were pretty easy. Finishing my assignments at school, I played video games until it was time to head to the bishops house.

Kathryn answered the door and invited me inside. I looked around, not seeing anyone else in the house. Noticing my confusion, she spoke up.

"Mom is helping my grandparents with something and Dad got caught up at work."

"Should I go?"

"No, he should be back soon. I just hope he gets here before I have to go."

"Oh? Where are you going?"

"Just a little party. Nothing important."

I felt like she was hiding something but I didn't want to push. I just nodded and sat down on the couch. We exchanged some minor chit chat for almost an hour before she got up.

"I'm going to get ready. If my dad isn't back by the time I'm finished, you'll have to reschedule."

After another few minutes, I got bored and decided to explore. Wasn't really looking for anything in particular but my attention was grabbed by a room with the light on. Quietly as possible, I walked up to the slightly open door. Glancing inside, I was shocked by what I saw.
