Walt had escaped the "Bed of Entrapment" with Ahnassi and Sienna's help this morning. They'd also given their "assistance" in other ways. They had made their way downstairs together leaning on him.

He'd set them on couch and they both protested a bit but he kissed them and built the fire in the fireplace. Sure enough they'd both dozed off.

Walt looked at the time. It was still early. Lita and Pyrrha likely wouldn't be up for awhile and he hoped Kali would sleep in a bit.

He looked out on the porch. No bodies. "Friday, locations of Anastasia, Demona, Mystique and Pirotess?"

(("They're all in the bunkhouse except for Demona. She hasn't left the property and is in one of the caves near access point-"))

"That's fine. I don't really need to know as long as they're all safe and sound." He looked thoughtful. "First one up and we got supplies... I'm going to start coffee and project Syrup."

(("Understood. I shall monitor security. Which Item shall you try this time, Boss?"))

Walt thought about his budding friendship with a certain character and nodded. He turned towards the kitchen. "Evil should beware... I'm making waffles."

(("Caught two more but not the characters we're looking for, Boss. "))

Walt sighed. "Well it was worth a try. What's our score so far Friday?"

(("Two Nora's, a Homer Simpson, a Fuu and Wilykat and Wilykit from a Thundercats 2011 series instance so far."))

Walt nodded. "The local Rein Corp branch is a tad busy. If they have owners give them a call. If not we can hold them for a while as "guests" and keep them fed."

Haruna, Senko and Kali had joined him eventually as had the other kitchen regulars. He'd fed them personally first. Raven was pleasantly surprised when she and Ilulu came in with Sasha and Penny right behind.

Senko gave him a look. "Walter it's time you started eating mister."

Kali nodded and giggled. "I qite agree! Alright ladies! The big four are eating plus Raven so let's give it our all!"

Walt blushed and was going to say he could wait... but his stomach spoke up and was answered by the other bottomless pits. "Alright fine... but you need to take s break Kali. I'll go eat if you go have a cup of coffee on the porch with the others."

Kali looked and the others all gave her a thumbs-up. She sighed and nodded her head. "Alright. Blake, Sienna and Ahnassi are out there too." She grabbed a cup of coffee for both of them and handed him his with a wink. "Go eat, Walter."

"Yes, dear," he let the others drag him off to the dining table.

"Waffles? For me?" Raven asked looking at him with a smile.

Walt nodded sitting dien and filling his plate. "That's right, Rae. Though I did have secondary motivation as well. Trying to lure someone else... morning Pyrrha."

"That's still sweet.Thanks, Walt," Raven said filling her plate.

Pyrrha kisses Walt's cheek and looks at the Waffles and syrup. "Hello again. Any luck?"

Walt shook his head. "Two but not the right one. They're being fed and well taken care of though. It's a Longshot but you never know."

She takes a seat next to him. "We'll find her event-"

(("Walt a fast moving intruder character from the correct instance is approaching. Heading for the porch."))

Walt Pyrrha and Penny stand up so quick they practically knocked over the huge table. They quickly head for the porch, then race there as they hear shouts! Could it be?

Walt runs out onto the vacant porch. "The ladies should be here?!" He starts reaching for his gun... and stops.

"Arf, Arf!"

A black-headed tricolor Pembroke Welsh Corgi with gray eyes and a bobbed tail is barking and running in circles before it sits looking at him and then up.

"Arf!"

"Is that...?" Pyrrha says as Walt stepped down of the porch nodding.

Walt walks over to the dog and kneels down to pet him. He's friendly and not wary at all. Walt looks at the name tag. "It is. Hungry boy?"

"Arf!"

Walt nodded. "We'll get you something to eat."

He turns to face the porch roof and sees Ahnassi, Blake, Kali and Sienna glaring down at Zwei.

"Wrong bait but it worked," he said.

"And he's unclaimed somehow?" Walt asked.

(("That's correct, Boss. He's a tricky character so while they're popular most poeple can't keep one. They're rather particular."))

Walt patted Zwei on the head where he sat in his lap. "Huh? You could of fooled me. He doesn't seem that way to me. Friday begin the registration process while we talk it over please."

"Arf," said Zwei.

(("Understood Walter."))

"You can't be serious!" Blake said.

Walt looked at Zwei as Zwei looked up at him then they both looked at Blake

"I am," he said. "Why wouldn't I be?"

"Arf... arf,arf?" Asked Zwei.

"It appears they have already bonded and are communicating!" Penny said smiling. "I'm sure this will make Ruby and Yang very happy! Weiss too!"

Walt scratched behind Zwei's ear. "You might be right. I've always done well with dogs and horses. Just have a knack for making four legged friends."

"Arf... arf," Zwei agreed.

"What about the bear?" Sienna asked.

Walt shrugged. "Can't win them all. Besides he's got a legitimate grudge thanks to the boys and I. Plus who else is he going to challenge?"

"The real question is how he got here?" Pyrrha asked.

Walt and Zwei look at each other. "You were looking for her?"

"Whine... arf," said Zwei.

Walt nodded. "I see. You were looking for them?"

"Arf!" Zwei stated.

Walt looked up. "He got out of wherever he was and went looking for you girls. He sensed Blake and came here." Walt looked at Zwei. "We're also looking for them as well as the others. Any hints?"

"Arf, arf... whine," Zwei said his ears drooping.

Walt patted his head. "That's OK. You found us and together we can find them."

"I still can't believe you can communicate with him," said Blake.

"I can't believe you can't?" Said Walt as Zwei barked. "Just because we don't share a rudimentary language doesn't mean we aren't able to understand each other on a basic level. Just like Neo and I communicate by non-verbal cues and gestures, Zwei and I can rudimentary communicate as well. Granted it's a bit harder but still. Once for a positive, twice for a negative is a good start. And we build from there. He's exceptionally intelligent."

Everyone just stares at Walt and Zwei... except for Penny who nods. "That makes perfect sense to me."

Neo shrugged. [Why not? Me too. Besides he's cute.]

"Arf!" Said Zwei agreeing with them.

Blake pauses then nods. "He's done a lot of things I never knew dogs to be able to do before either. His aura level is impressive... and Ruby and Yang believed he could use tools like a can opener."

"Arf!" Zwei said wiggling his butt in thanks. He thought Blake was pretty great too! He hoped off Walt's lap to go sit next to her.

She looked down at him. "No" she said crossing her arms.

He whined and scooted closer to her.

She looked away. "No unauthorized snuggles."

He whimpered and licked her elbow.

Blake sighed. "Fine," and he happily scooted close to her. "According to Ooblek "canines are historically known for their perceptive nose and heightened sense of sound, making them excellent companions for a hunt such as ours!" He wasn't wrong then and the same should apply in this situation."

Glynda nodded proud of her student. "Well said, Ms Belladonna."

Walt nodded. "And more or less my same thinking. In that case Zwei. Will you help us out? May I register you?"

Zwei hopped back over to Walt barking and licked his face.

Walt grinned and rubbed his head. "You got it, pal! Friday, that's a yes."

(("Understood. Filing the claim and the registration, Walter."))

"Alright then! Today you're with me, partner," Walt said. "Once we get you outfitted we'll start the hunt!"

"Grr, arf!" Zwei replied excited.
