You let Her Stay

"Thanks, that's very kind of you”. You tell her. She smiles at you, flicking a strand of hair over her ear.

“You would do the same thing, and besides I’m waiting for some friends, Do you want to talk about it?" She asks

“I don't know, it's all still pretty raw. Plus, you're my student, it's not really appropriate."

”Well yeah, but sometimes it helps to talk to someone who isn't involved inyour life. And I won't tell anyone, I promise." She really seems sincere and what’s the point of her staying if you won’t talk.

The two of you began talking about small things at first and you eventually told her about how Sophie left one morning during breakfast and showed back up a week later with divorce papers and a lawyer. She then left without her ring.

“Take it from me, I know bitches.” She said plainly “And she’s a big one.” You both laughed at this. Maybe talking with anyone would’ve helped but Sydney has surprisingly helped you pretty well.

“If I was her I wouldn’t have left you like, it isn’t fair or right.” You continued to laugh.

“I’m a geek you wouldn’t have gotten with me in first place.” You getting a shocked expression from her.

“Nah uh, For one you a pretty fit and hot geek and two you could have gotten me-.” She quickly shut up and went bright red in the face, you can imagine you were two from the heat in your face.

You both laughed nervously at the awkward moment and hoped for an interruption.
