Outside.

"The blast doors are open," Jade noted when the girls entered the loading bay. "I wonder why he's outside?"

The girls walked out to the small gravel parking lot and did not notice Jonathan anywhere around.

"It's fucking cold!" Amber complained, hugging herself tightly. The triplets were dressed to exercise (and to impress) in their skintight workout clothes.

"Jon!" Crystal yelled out, hoping he would respond quickly before she freeze to ****.

"Jon!" her sisters joined in.

"What are you girls doing outside?" Jonathan responded as he walked around the circular bunker wrapped with a blanket.

"Looking for you!" Jade yelled. "Let's go inside now!"

"Aren't you cold?" Crystal asked as he covered the sisters with his blanket.

"It's okay, I'm used to it," he replied as he led them inside. "Let's go to kitchen and make some tea to warm up."

The girls were not going to protest and followed him.

"What kind of tea do you girls want?" Jonathan asked, looking through the cupboards for tea.

"Whatever they stocked," Crystal answered.

"I found a kettle and a teapot," he announced. "How about green tea?"

"Sure!" the girls chirped in unison.

After turning on the kettle, Jonathan returned to the table where the girls sat with four mugs. "Warmed up yet?"

The girls nodded.

"What were you doing out there?" Amber asked.

"I wanted to spend my last night outside under the stars," Jonathan answered.

"By yourself?" Jade wondered.

"We don't have any camping gear and I didn't think any of you girls wanted to sleep outside without a sleeping bag," he replied with a shrug.

"How was your sleep?" Amber asked.

"I didn't sleep," Jonathan replied. "I just looked up at stars and thought..."

"You should get at least seven hours sleep!" Jade scolded.

"But you three woke up at five so that's less than seven hours sleep," he retorted.

"We wanted to exercise," Crystal explained.

"The same time as me?" Jonathan noted, eyeing them with suspicion.

The sisters smiled innocently and nodded but before he could press them on their true motivation the kettle whistled.

"Be right back," Jonathan said and returned shortly with the teapot. "Let's wait a couple minutes for the tea to steep."

"Do you want to workout with us?" Crystal asked, looking at him with a sly smirk.

"Sure, but I don't have my gym clothes with me," he responded. "I can go down to my room to change."

"Or you can just exercise in your underwear..." Jade blurted out, causing her sisters to glare at her. "I mean, to save you time going all the way down to the ninth floor and back up again!"

Jonathan did not say anything but just poured out the tea.

"By the way, you don't have to wake up early to workout with me," he said after taking a sip of his tea. "I'll workout with the rest of the group later in the day."

"But they can't do the high intensity like we can," Amber stated.

"True," he nodded and sipped his tea.
