Alexa leaned against Michelle but Michelle took one step back and faced Alexa. She took a hold of Alexa’s hands and lowered herself onto one knee.
“Michelle… w-what are you?” Alexa asked but Michelle pulled out a small box.
“Alexa Eve Johnson,” Michelle said. “You have been my best friend since we were just little kids. And still we’re laughing and crying and even still in diapers. You’ve given me the best life I could ask for and, I couldn’t imagine how else this could go.”
“Michelle…” Alexa said in tears.
“Alexa, I want to make you the happiest woman on earth, and I want to love you forever. I want you to be my wife. So, will you marry me?”
Alexa was in tears as she wrapped her arms around Michelle’s neck. “Yes…” Alexa said through her tears.
Michelle smiled and wrapped her arms around Alexa twirling her around and kissing her. “I love you, Alexa.”
“I love you too, Michelle,” Alexa said as she kissed Michelle. “I can’t wait to marry you and… be your wife.”
Michelle put the ring on Alexa’s finger. And Alexa leaned against Michelle. Michelle hugged Alexa and Alexa couldn’t help but cry happy tears.
“Lexi, if you want to go public, I’m going to be right by your side,” Michelle said. “All the way.”
Alexa smiled. “Thank you. Now let’s go home and tell everyone,” Alexa said. “A-about the ring anyways.”
Michelle nodded as she led Alexa out the door and to the car.
