A close shave

Hailey followed private Amy as they ran through the houses and neighbourhood, their curvaceous and voluptuous bodies wobbling with each movement. The streets were new empty, though screams and flashes of red that indicated the alien war machine firing to render victims nude rang out all around.

"What the hell are those things?" Hailey started to ask, before Amy shushed her, pulling her behind a house just as the towering machine emerged, turning left and right to scan the environment before leaving, having seen nothing.

After a few more seconds of silence to make sure, the curvy army woman peeked out to see the route was clear, signalling to Hailey that they can continue on their way.

"We don't know. Last I heard, headquarters are currently reaching out to the militaries of other countries to inquire if this is a global scale invasion. Apparently, even the government is just starting to wrap their heads around these alien freaks' nationwide appearance. All I know is that they had mobilized all available military units to evacuate civilians, leaving room to blow those machines to hell." Private Amy responded to the earlier question with the limited information she was given and could disclose.

Just then, the walkie talkie hanging from private Amy's wide hips sounded.

"Private Amy. Come in. Do you read?"

Amy grabbed her walkie talkie as they moved towards the more populated areas, trying to avoid the alien machine. "I hear you loud and clear. I have finished up the last rounds of evacuation for the residential areas. 1 civilian is with me, the rest have been successfully evacuated."

"Copy that. Bring her to the evacuation area and finish up the evacuation. The other evacuation squads will be waiting for you in Vacaville." The voice over the walkie talkie told Amy.

"Roger." Amy acknowledged, before the walkie talkie returned to silence. "I'm taking you to the waterfront where an evacuation vehicle awaits. From there, we'll be moving to Vacaville, which has yet to see extraterrestrial activity and is a designated safe zone." she elaborated to Hailey.

"What about the alien and remaining combat squads?" Hailey wondered as they were approaching the Suisun waterfront, the alien war machine being occupied in another area with guns being fired and soldiers rendered nude, having to retreat to the back while others took over.

"The combat squads are to keep it distracted until air support can be called in, leaving them to retreat while more heavy weaponry such as missiles can be fired at the machine." Amy finished up her explanation as they finally reached the abandoned waterfront, a lone medical evacuation vehicle parked in the middle waiting for it's driver.
