A naked car ride

"The house?! But what about my stuff??" Sita had just remembered her conservative sari that she had worn to the beach.

"I thought you had it!" Rachna tried to calm her daughter down. In truth, her sisters had taken it in the hubbub and thrown it in the garbage.

"Yeah, must have flown away..." Arya smirked and shrugged.

"Well, we're not going back to get it," Vivek asserted his paternal authority. "Our house is only ten minutes away, Sita can get dressed there."

Nominally this was true - Vivek was a successful doctor - but he had a bad habit of underestimating Southern Californian traffic.

The family loaded up their car. Sighing, naked Sita crawled in the third row and sat in the middle between Fatima and Maya. If her frame had advantages, it's that the seat wasn't too uncomfortable for her.
