The ambush.

The ground rumbles under your feet as if an earthquake erupts behind you. Four huge booms make you stagger before you can turn around. By the time you do you see four huge plumes of dirt and bodies flying into the air right in the middle of your troops. Pops and bangs start sounding out from the forest soon after. Puffs of dirt mingle with the puffs of blood as something starts mowing down your troops. The remaining pachy riders turn to flee, but loud cracks of some terrible weapon fell their mounts tumbling them to the ground.

You watch in horror as women holding guns of some sort, actual guns, start advancing forward out of the forest on what remains of your troops. Behind them giant women with spears and shields follow. One of the women calmly sets her gun down and starts hurling small globes into your troops. Explosions erupt from the globes and rip through your men as they try their best to charge forward at the women. By the time the women with the guns seem to have run out of whatever terrible ammunition those guns fired there were only five men remaining. The gunwomen fall back behind the giant women who form a wall of shields, and your men slam into them. In practiced movements the remaining men fall to their spears.

Bile and vomit spews from your mouth involuntarily as you realize it is over. You hunch over ejecting your morning breakfast from your stomach. You look up to see one last man get up and make a break for it as you wipe your mouth with the back of your hand. A woman holding a different gun steps forward out of the forest. She adjusts her stance, raises the weapon up, and *CRACK*. The sound of the weapon is the same as the one that took down all the pachys. A puff of red mist erupts from his chest. He staggers several more steps and then collapses onto the ground. He doesn't get up again. You fall to your knees having lost all your strength suddenly.

"I didn't want it to be this way Sean. I don't hold any malice towards you anymore. I could have gone my whole life not seeing you again. I'm sorry" John says. You can hear the sadness in his voice, but all you can stare at is your glowing arm. You wonder if the Mistress will use it to strangle you to ****. You feel something hit your head. It wasn't painful at all, and the world spins and fades black. You find yourself on the ground unable to move and your eyelids start shutting on their own. You attempt to move your body, but it won't respond at all as your eyes continue closing. Terror takes hold of you briefly, but the world disappears as your eyes fully close. The last thought you have is you wondering if this is the end or not.
