Nate thought hard. What was the last thing he remembered? Before stepping off the bus, it was being tied to the flagpole.

It was strange. He had no recollection of anything between those two events. That left nearly 16 hours unaccounted for. His teacher had abandoned him, naked, tied to the flagpole, just as the bell was about to ring. And then...nothing. He was getting off the bus.
