Even with the breeze working to help out, nothing would beat the ultimate coolness of the ocean. Jake sets his towel and other various things down in a dry patch of sand, then kicked off his sandals. He'd been wanting to try out his new swim shorts. They were dark blue in color, with large orange flowers and a short cut style, that looked like something out of a travel magazine from the 70's. The designs to choose from had been limited and there was no internal netting built in from the manufacture. The short cut of the swim trunk did make Jake nervous of a possible slip, but it was a tradeoff of less fabric for a higher quality marketed as 'quick dry technology woven into every pair! ' Since Jake hated sitting around in wet shorts on the beach and despised swimsuit netting, so he was eager to test them out. The shorts were such a comfortable fit dry, Jake had yet to feel a need to tie the drawstring, he just tucked them in. Jake thought the 'no visibility of the string' look had a sexy appeal and seemed less child like.
About 40 meters away, one of Jake's old neighborhood friends, Sarah, was laying on the beach. Sarah spotted Jake and waved. Jake waved back, while noticing she looked to have a couple of friends over. There were either 2 or 3 other girls besides Sarah. They were all mostly laying down on their towels and enjoying the sun paying no mind to Jake. Jake started heading down towards the water.
How does Jake enter the water...
[Dives right in and swims out a short distance.]
[Likes to dip his toes in and inch forward slowly.]
