College is supposed to be fun. The two of you head inside and are met with cheers and applause. Everyone gets a plate of food and settles in around the table. You can’t help but think about the things Vanessa said as Marcy sets her chair next to yours, “We can share dice, right?” She asks as she sits down.

Steve holds up his hands to quiet everyone. “All right. It would seem little miss Marcy wasn’t lying about playing with her brother, in fact she was usually the DM. It was an older edition, but she whipped out a character pretty fast. In fact she even came up with a pretty good idea of how we should meet their characters. So, till the rest of the group gets to that point why don’t Alex and Marcy go in Vanessa’s bedroom and Marcy can fill Alex in and get her ready.”

“Vanessa’s room?” You ask.

Vanessa smiles, “It’s the only one with a door. You will hear us playing in the loft. Don’t want to meta game.”

“Oh ya, that makes sense.”

“Just use the desk as a table.” Vanessa adds as the two of you gather up everything you need. As you enter her bedroom she adds, “Oh, don’t look in the bottom drawer.”

“We won’t.” Marcy says, then the instant you are both in the room, door shut, stuff on the desk, she smiles wickedly and whispers, “See what’s in the drawer.”
